The sites here are very close together. This site had room for 2 4 person tents, so that was nice. They were fairly level, but not perfectly level. 2 other sites are in very close proximity. This site is far enough away to not smell the bathrooms or dumpsters, so that was great.

Great place! Very few people. We saw sunset and sunrise from the site, and the stars too.

Tent camped here in mid-March. Weather was frosty and had some rain and snow flurries most of the time. One of my favorite places to camp. Campground was pretty empty (a lot of no-shows; most likely because of the weather).

Jumbo Rocks is a great campground, open with larger sites. lots of places and rocks to climb on. And places to put a tent where there is some protection from the wind.

Beautiful and safe. Not all sites offer natural shade. Would stay in this campground again.

The park itself was great, the campsite was clean (although all of it was a little bit of a slope) and was slightly sheltered from the lights of car traffic. However, the camp sites are super crammed on top of each other which has very little privacy. Additionally, we experienced a lot of noisy neighbors on a couple night stay. Understand that this can happen with close camp sites but it was a bit over the top. The desert noises really travel and went all hours of the night.

We had perfect weather in april this year. Always check your site ahead of time to make sure your equipment will fit.

The campsites are very snug and close together, and day hikers are constantly roaming through your site if youre lucky enough to have a site for a cool rock formation nearby. Quite hours and at 6am so we had friendly neighbor turn on his generator at 6:20am. The location and environment are cool, but the camping experience is meh. We stayed at two other campgrounds in the park on our trip and this as definitely our families least favorite in our familys opinion.

It is one of the most beautiful areas to camp. The bathroom were clean, the campsites were well marked even when arriving at night. We were very impressed with the beauty this area has. Skull rock is an easy hike from camp area.

The campsite was extremely clean including the restroom. The site was also quiet after 10pm. The stars were also so beautiful.

We had a great weekend at Jumbo Rocks Campground. The kids loved climbing all the rocks in the campground and we adults enjoyed our late nights fireside chats and star gazing. This was our third year in a row coming during spring break and the kids look forward to it every year. Great hiking and climbing nearby. Love that Jumbo Rocks is central to the park.

I had a beautiful time at Jumbo Rocks last week. I arrived to see a tarantula crossing my campsite! It was amazing! I enjoyed the star talk at the amphitheater. I even witnessed the launch of the Space-X Falcon-9. Gorgeous! Hikes, sunsets and stars were outstanding. My location provided easy assess to exploring, restrooms and to the road. Space 116 will not be reserved again. Though it was a clean and convenient location, there was no privacy and I felt super-exposed. Neighbors arrived late and set up just next to my tent. I was alone and heard every word long into the night and then at the crack of dawn onward. Space 114 next door is a tiny camp. It could be nixed; then it would be much more comfy. Bring your woolly socks! The night breeze brings quite a chill! Love JTNP!

Jumbo rock is a reservation only campsite and just a heads up, if you are planning to go in the month of February, book way in advance. We got lucky after looking at the site for days to find one day available so we booked it. Once we arrived to jumbo rock there was a ranger named Heidi checking guest in and we had mentioned if a campsite became available for the following day we would be interested in staying another night. She took our name, phone number, and campsite number down and said she would let us know. The following morning a Ranger stopped by to see if we were still interested in staying another night in a different location. I was so amazed by the follow through with the Ranger who I didnt catch his name, but Heidi stopped by later and I believe she said," did my husband stop by with information about another campsite?" I just wanted to give recognition to the two who made it a point to come to our site and follow up with our conversation the following day, I was very impressed with Heidi and her husband and how clean and well managed jumbo rock campsite was. I highly recommend.

Loved the camp hosts and the beautiful location. Our site felt very private due to well placed rocks (lol). Highly recommend seeing one of the ranger speaker series theyre putting on all over the park, the one at Jumbo Rocks was top-notch! Love coming to JT, and love being a good steward by taking nothing but pictures and leaving only footprints!

The site was so small with zero privacy. Horrible site. We left and drove home instead.

Such a magical place, we loved it. We've been to JTNP many times but this was our first time camping there and it didn't disappoint. We were at site 116.
