Tent camped here in mid-March. Weather was frosty and had some rain and snow flurries most of the time. One of my favorite places to camp. Campground was pretty empty (a lot of no-shows; most likely because of the weather).

Jumbo Rocks is a great campground, open with larger sites. lots of places and rocks to climb on. And places to put a tent where there is some protection from the wind.

Beautiful and safe. Not all sites offer natural shade. Would stay in this campground again.

The park itself was great, the campsite was clean (although all of it was a little bit of a slope) and was slightly sheltered from the lights of car traffic. However, the camp sites are super crammed on top of each other which has very little privacy. Additionally, we experienced a lot of noisy neighbors on a couple night stay. Understand that this can happen with close camp sites but it was a bit over the top. The desert noises really travel and went all hours of the night.

We had perfect weather in april this year. Always check your site ahead of time to make sure your equipment will fit.

The campsites are very snug and close together, and day hikers are constantly roaming through your site if youre lucky enough to have a site for a cool rock formation nearby. Quite hours and at 6am so we had friendly neighbor turn on his generator at 6:20am. The location and environment are cool, but the camping experience is meh. We stayed at two other campgrounds in the park on our trip and this as definitely our families least favorite in our familys opinion.

It is one of the most beautiful areas to camp. The bathroom were clean, the campsites were well marked even when arriving at night. We were very impressed with the beauty this area has. Skull rock is an easy hike from camp area.

The campsite was extremely clean including the restroom. The site was also quiet after 10pm. The stars were also so beautiful.

Such a magical place, we loved it. We've been to JTNP many times but this was our first time camping there and it didn't disappoint. We were at site 116.
