I went to Joshua Tree for an overnight tenting trip for star gazing. The weather was perfect. We arrived at 7pm. Easily found our site. Jumbo rock was beautiful and fun to explore the rocks and the evening sky. Cant wait to come back for a meteor shower experience!

We loved Jumbo! Kids climbed all over the rocks, bathrooms were clean. Great location within the park. We got to refill water at the entrance to the park before getting to the campground. Would definitely recommend this campground to anyone going to stay in Jumbo.

I love camping in Joshua Tree NP. I have camped to three or 4 (not all) of the campgrounds), and Jumbo Rocks is my favorite so far.If you plan to camp in the spring, be prepared for some very low temps during the night and possibly high winds. The beauty of the spring blooms and wonderful hikes (my favorite is Ryan Mtn) make the cold and wind tolerable. Highly recommend JTNP!

Great campsite! It has a Joshua Tree in the front and jumbo rocks in the back - best of both worlds. The bathroom is just across from the campsite. I had two 2p tents that fit perfectly. The only thing to be aware of is this site only has one parking space.

The campsites had nice flat areas for putting up a tent. The bathrooms were clean and the area overall was in good repair.

The site 112 only had one parking spot. Luckily there was another one available nearby so we didnt have to go too far but the campgrounds was gorgeous with the picnic table, Joshua tree and jumbo rocks. It was a beautiful site. We went in late March and at night the weather dropped to 40s and was extremely windy! Wasnt expecting this but next time will definitely be a bit more prepared for inclement weather. Was a very memorable experience and would do it again in a heartbeat

Although Joshua tree isn't the best national park - jumbo rocks campground is definitely one of the best campgrounds. Each site feels very seclusive due to the rocks and lots of places to explore

Wonderful camp site , quiet , and so much fun! Boulders right behind us form our daughter to climb on and easy access to hikes!

Beautiful campground. It's in a good location for access to various park attractions. Like a lot of campgrounds though, the sites are close together, and (as it's the desert) there is no plumbed water.

This campground is really beautiful but there are a lot of people! Its packed in. Be aware if you are looking for a little seclusion, this isnt the campground for you

Had to leave because of all the bees. My wife was stung and they wouldn’t leave us alone.

We had a great site, the weather cooperated and we enjoyed hiking and photographing in the park. With the increase in winter visitors in last few years, NPS should consider adding a few more campgrounds within the park, or developing BLM areas north and south of the park.

Absolutely loved this campground! Beautiful views of the night skies, close to lots of places within the park that we wanted to see. Cant wait to return!
