Bathrooms were clean, park employees were very nice, and everything went smoothy. Thank you for the experience, and keep up the good work!Barker Dam is always the busiest hike, I would recommend trying the other hikes that are not as popular for a quieter experience.

Would be 5 stars if they didnt allow generators. They destroy the peaceful setting and you feel that you are in an industrial area. Except for that beautiful setting and nice campsites!

My parking space was taken by two different visitors, and with no camp host or law enforcement around to resolve the issue, I was forced to camp elsewhere. It seems some visitors do whatever they please without any regard for park rules

So beautiful. Very cold at night, not the most private during the day & noisy neighbors but other than that it was amazing to see the stars & the Geminid meteor shower

Pit toilets far away from my site, extremely noisy neighbors (but better than the folks blasting music at night down the way) with a tent 10 ft from our only adequate spot. Overall one of the worst campgrounds I've stayed at in a national park.

Great location next to the skull rock trail. Pretty big/roomy area to work with too.

Nice spot for tent camping. Even with the fully booked campground over New Years we still had privacy and a great experience. The camp host was out and active, checking in with folks. Weve been here before and will continue to return. Easy short walk to Skull Rock from campsite.

Amazing campground, well located inside the Park, kind of in the middle of everything, good to move around.

Cool campground. Scrub offers feeling of privateness despite being close to your neighbor. Near hiking loop. Second night pretty much ruined by selfish a'holes partying until after midnight. A reason I abhor car camping.

Site 108 was great! Hard to find at night but we did eventually locate it. Only downside was the weather but not much you can do about that when a big winter storm blows in.

What a cool campground! As the name implies, there are jumbo rocks all over the area. At night, climb to the top to enjoy the stars. Definitely would recommend staying here.

I had two different campsites: one was outstanding the other was good. One had very clean bathroom while the other had two very dirty ones. I was in the park to photograph as much as possible over a total of 5 days during which I camped for 2 nights (Wednesday/Thursday), motel in Yucca Valley for 2 (since camp sites were filled on Friday/Saturday) and then camp again for one night (Sunday). Did some astrophotography both just after dark as well as 3a.m. All worked out well.

Beautiful campground! Close to a lot of the main hikes in Joshua Tree, very clean and quiet. Staying right in the rocks was cool too! Definitely would recommend

The location was perfect! There is a short nature walk to Skull Walk. It's a nice walk. The campground is well kept.

A nice campground, we hiked right out of the Jumbo Rocks camp to do Skull and Split hike together! There is no water and pit toilets. Very basic. They did have a Ranger program which at the little outdoor amphitheater which was nice to walk to!

The volunteer park ranger was very mean to me and mu friends that were visiting. After reserving online, I pulled up to my site and although nowhere did the site I reserve say "tent only" (it said standard non electric site) so the ranger told me "I should've just assumed" despite the site telling me to enter my trailer length. Thankfully my trailer was small enough to fit in my designated spot anyways, but she came back multiple times and was consistently rude and very evidently unhappy that my trailer fit. The site was very pretty and the site neighbors were very kind and understanding but that ranger needed to work on her interpersonal skills

Stayed in site 108. Excellent tent site. Not a great spot if you’re in a campervan type unit. You end up sleeping in a parking area for 4 vehicles. But the actual space in the tent area was nice and secluded. Wish the campground map was more clear about this. Vault toilets were clean.

the Jumbo Rocks campground is really lovely because you are camped among the beautiful formations. most of the other campers were really chill. unfortunately for me a large group moved in next to my site and partied all night and broke the rules for how many cars were supposed to be at their site. the next day they encroached on my site and even stole my parking space. i wish i could have found the camp hosts, but they were nowhere to be found. the rangers were kind enough to help me relocate so that i could enjoy the rest of my trip. keep a watchful eye on your food. the camp varmints were very interested in my cooking activities. leave no trace!
