Its a fine campground, beautifully situated. The signs of where the lots are situated could be a lot better though.

I was able to get Campsite 102 at Jumbo Rocks for a Friday Night May 19th.
I have 5 kids and (2) 8x10 tents.
I made sure that the tents were in good shape and at about midnight it was tested when the Thunderstorm came through for about 4 hours of rain!
We had a great time... the tents kept us dry and our gear was packed up before we hit the hay into the back of the truck.
So our chairs just needed to be setup and things we needed for breakfast brought out when we woke up.
WE LOVE JUMBO ROCKS! Just be prepared for wind (Get good tent stakes so the tent stays put, have solid tents with good rain flies, put your stuff away into plastic bins! Put your chairs away so they stay dry.)
Oh... stop at Harbor Freight as they have the good stakes and the UV Lights to shine on the ground so you don't stumble upon a scorpion at night. It is pretty cool to check them out... just from a distance!
Bring plenty of Water... we had one camper site next to us pack up as they didn't have a tent that was water proof and they got drenched... They left out at about 3:30am so they weren't stoked about the weather.
10 out of 10 Stars for us! We had a blast and the weather just gives another level of experience! Happy Trails!

Small but beautiful spaces (for RV), perfect start for trails

Jumbo Rocks is somewhat remote, but once you get there, it's very scenic and quiet.

Our site was perfect! Picnic table, BBQ, and fire pit available. We went in the beginning of November and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed the scenery and sunsets.

Campsites on top of each other. Loud group with kids. Broke two canopies trying to set up shade in unrelenting winds. Could not even cook hot meal for two nights, because of wind. Absolutely beautiful park and extremely clean. Wish the weather would have cooperated. Park rangers very nice and helpful. Arranged for us to have extra parking space for our safety. Would try again if I lived closer.

Epic camping experience. We had a group of 5 families on sites 102, 104, 105, 106 & 107. Those sites were perfect for our group - spacious enough for each family but close enough to hang out together as a group. It was so fantastic to have huge rocks for the kids to explore right behind our sites. I wouldn’t come here with toddlers or younger kids as there are some big drops and dangerous areas. The campground was full but didn’t feel at all crowded. Definitely want to come back!

Jumbo Rocks is a wonderfully accessible campground with great sites and access to trails and climbing. It has become extremely popular and is full most of the spring and fall seasons with the noise that goes with that.

Mostly positive experience, but the sites are very close together, so we felt like we were sharing our trip with some other loud groups nearby, including some who were loud into the late hours of the night.
