beautiful area! the rocky outcroppings were gorgeous. it was fantastic being in the park to get an early start on hikes in the AM. the spaces are very close together, but thats to be expected. the bathroom was locked late at night - i thought that was odd, and it may have just been the one by out site, but still -- why am I paying $50 and still not getting access to a bathroom?! Other than that it was great! very quiet at night even though there were hundreds of people packed in there!

Camp site 100 is very good. There are nice little shades at the campsite to hang out mid-day. Easily accessible. The camp sites are very close to each other.

This campsite backs up to a trail which will take you to Skull Rock. The site itself is pretty big and about 40 feet away from the 2 parking spots it comes with. At night you might hear hikers walking by at night to use the trail. There is a bathroom within a 3 minute walk.

Sites were basic but well taken care of. JTree is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Visit if you can.

Great campsite. Walking distance to skull rock. Bathrooms were pretty decent too.

Beautiful campsite but really needs a host. Music blaring, parties, you name it. This place needs some regulation. I hate to say that, but it's really noisy, which is the opposite of why we go there. Kind of a shame.

The rangers were really nice and welcoming and answered my questions when we arrived. :) Site was clean and gorgeous. Loved climbing around and catching different sunset views. Saw a beautiful white coyote one night at sunset. After the sun went down we heard howling from all around. So cool!

Although campsites are close, there's plenty of natural barriers to make your space feel private. I liked the proximity to the Skull Rock Nature Trail, which was very educational. Scrambling up the rocks is fairly easy, and allows great views of the area and the sunsets. I recommend Jumbo Rocks, and will stay there again.

We arrived late from Arizona into camp and - for the first time ever - I wasn't completely sure which site I reserved (map looked different from Google Maps depiction). Turned out being correct, but since there was no cell service in the Park, I couldn't verify my reservation and there is no "late arrival" board at the entry (nor any staffed entrance station) to confirm sites to their occupants for the night.
Otherwise, great site! Bit close to other sites at #100 that we stayed in, but because of the cold weather and snow that came through the second night, looks like most people cancelled, so we were pretty much on our own! Easy access to wandering around the boulder piles from any site along the campground (but better access from further within). As a reminder, there is no water within the park, so be sure to bring it in or refill before entering the Park! It's a decent drive to the closest entrance at 29 Palms Visitor Center. Great central spot for any variety of adventures around the park, even during a light snowstorm!
