I took my nine-year-old grandson and the two of us car camped. We went to two great Ranger talks and took a tour of Keys Ranch. Great experience!

Not a fan of this particular site but Jumbo Rocks is great. I would recommend not staying on this little loop.

The campground is great. My family, friends, and I have camped here over 30 times. I did notice it was not quite as pristine as in previous years, namely there were little bits of trash among the bushes (until we cleaned up as we left).

Very unique camping experience. Jumbo Rocks is probably the most convenient location to everything you might want to do at J-tree. My wife and I took our road bikes from here to Hall of Horrors and Cap Rock.

Nice quiet campground. We did tent camping off the main road close to the ampitheatre (site 99). Had neighbors but aside from the ones across from us they were not really noticeable thanks to tent locations and plants. Only real downside would be having to go to the ranger station to get water. Luckily we had a couple of 5 gallon jugs, so did not have to make that trip often. You can hear road traffic from the site, but it is minimal. Walked around the camp to check various sites. Next time I will try to book #39 or #79 for tent camping.

Our neighbors were throwing a college party and did not respect curfew! Otherwise the campsite was nice

A lot to see. However, the North end is far better.

Good campground central to Joshua Tree National Park. There are great rocks/boulders in and around to explore and a short trail to Skull Rock area.
