Great location and all the amenities you need, other than a shower (at least that I could find). Beautiful rocks in the area and stars at night.

Had a great time exploring and hiking the rocks. Trails are pretty well marked.

We travel in a Road Trek van. Our spot in Jumbo Rocks campground was great! The hiking and biking in the park was a lot of fun. The park is clean and the rangers are friendly and helpful. Cell service is spotty.

Such a great place to spend some time. There are plenty of level spots, and the nearby trails are a bonus.

for us as tourists from overseas (Switzerland) it is very difficult, now that most of the campsites can only be booked online - and then there is no cell phone reception in the park!What do we do then! Drive 100reds of miles to the next visitor center?there should at least be some sites first come first served which can be paid in cash in en envelope!we love your parks but get very stressed if we need to always book well ahead!

This campground was really good. Found it quickly and drove to our reserved spot. Toilet without flush. No showers.

Had a wonderful adventure, again at Joshua Tree's Jumbo Rocks Campgrounds. Eight of us were camped near one another for four days. Restrooms were clean and neat at all times. Rode bikes, hiked and just generally enjoyed the warm days and clear and cool nights. Would recommend the experience to everyone.

Great campground.a little busy, but that can add entertainment while sitting around a campfire. People adhered to the generator hours. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Great places to watch the sunrise. Be sure to look at pics of your site - Half of the sites seemed to be pull in or back in and the other half were essentially parallel parking next to your site.

Joshua Tree was beautiful and our stay at Jumbo Rocks was wonderful. The campsite was beautiful!

Great spot with clean heads and in the middle of all the great hikes.
Every site on the recreation.gov site showed full, but there were about half the sites open and they said "reserved; no walk ins."
What's the deal with that?

I'm very used to backpacking, but staying at this campsite was such a great experience!!!
We stayed at site #98 for three nights (Saturday to Tuesday). The campsite in general was very beautiful and inviting to nearby hikes during the day and had a spectacular night sky. There were many bathrooms available (always with toilet paper!). In addition, the campground is near the middle of the park, so it provided easy driving access to the East, North, and Southwest sections. Would recommend 100%.

The camp volunteer was one of the most kind people ever! Our car wouldn't start on Monday morning and she was able to get law enforcement to come jump my car for us. She was so sweet and a guardian angel in that moment and I feel so bad that I can't remember her name! Also just love Jumbo Rocks. It's an amazing campground :).

I highly recommend staying here for a night or 2. Clean facilities and beautiful scenery. The campsite I stayed at was well maintained.

Love this campground its beautiful. Kids loved climbing the jumbo rocks and going on hikes. However, do not RV camp here. Our 30' trailer was way to big for the spot slated for RVs. I would tent camp.

Jumbo Rocks is a beautiful location. The pit toilets were clean and in good locations. We very much enjoyed our stay there.
