We had a blast at Joshua Tree. The campground was perfect for our group's needs. Thank you!

My 19 ft trailer and SUV fit easily in this site. Clean, pretty view and enough privacy in this busy campground. The rocks and the set back made this a perfect place camp and hike around to see the sites. We ran into 29 Palms for quick shopping and tour the visitors center, too, while here. Camp hosts, rangers and staff kind, friendly and helpful!!

I recently camped at this site, and while the location had potential, there were a few aspects that affected our experience. First, the weather was very windy during our stay, which made the camping experience less enjoyable, especially in a tent. It was hard to get comfortable, and we spent a lot of time trying to keep our tent stable.Additionally, I found the lack of water on-site to be quite inconvenient. There is no running water at all, so if you're used to having easy access to water for drinking, cooking, or cleaning, this could be an issue. The only restroom available is a pit toilet, which I know some people are okay with, but if you're not comfortable with that, Id strongly recommend thinking twice before booking here. Theres no flush toilet, so be prepared for a more rustic experience.Overall, while the location may work for those who are prepared for these conditions, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who needs more basic amenities like running water or a more traditional restroom setup.

Not the first time to Joshua tree but it was first time camping here and we are so glad we did! The experience of being in there for sunset + star gazing + sunrise is totally different and much fuller and more beautiful without all the driving in and out of the park. What a special place!

Very nice campground. There are a fair amount of flies in the bathroom but other than that no issues at all

Very nice camping area with distinct rock formations and desert plants and some wildlife. Nearby trails to explore and learn about the origin of the landscape. Site #91 offered a lot of space for us. We just stayed for one night, but there are many more things to explore.

We had site 91 and it was amazing! We were concerned with our 28 trailer and 21 truck but we had probably an extra 10 to squeeze in. We didnt put our slide out but that didnt matter as we were outside all day. I absolutely love this campground and site

Campsite was great. Rangers at Vistor Centers were very informative. Only draw back was absolutely No Cell Service. Had to drive up to McDonalds in 29 Palms to check in with home.

Hot day, but overall the campground we had was great, good privacy when we had the truck parked up front and tons of space to fit our extra large tent and canopy.

Dreamy here. But come prepared, especially to shade yourself and stay hydrated. It was amazing!!

We have been going to this campground for 33 years!
Jumbo Rocks is a sanctuary away from the city. The rocks give a sound barrier to your neighbors.
The restrooms were clean. Trash was emptied. We did miss having or seeing campground hosts this Spring 2023.
Heidi and Don were there in the Fall. If you have a long trailer....there are only a couple spots that will fit your rig.
Check the size of the camp space before you book it.

Beautiful place.

Beautiful and clean campground. Park rangers made rounds daily to check on sites and registrations. Big plus was how kids can climb rocks from the moment they wake up!
