We spent one night at Jumbo Rocks Campground. It was lovely to sleep by the rocks. We enjoyed sitting around the grill and campfire in the evening.Everything was very clean, and the sites were beautifully landscaped.

Absolutly amazing! Very beautiful Campground surrounded by rocks in the middle of the Nationalpark. Skull rock and many others reachable by foot directly from the campground.

Jumbo Rock was a very nice campground inside Joshua Tree National Park in which we stayed three nights in April 2024. It was a bit windy on the first two nights of my stay. I was in a tent so it was quite cold at night... 37 degrees and wind blowing strong. We had a short snow shower come through campground on us later in the day but was gone in 10 minutes. For the rest of the weekend, we had sunny skies and hiking throughout the park was great with fantastic well-kept trails and beautiful views.

The RV campground area is VERY tight. I did not have a map, or was instructed how to access my assigned spot even though I stopped to ask at the visitor’s center. This RV camping area made my arrival very stressful, as it was my first visit, and even though I only had a 20’ travel trailer- I had no idea how or if I could loop around! Otherwise the park itself is very beautiful/great.!

It was great. The campsites are very close so you may experience noise from your neighbors. Also, highly recommend keys view at sunrise. Very beautiful

One of the most BEAUTIFUL parks I've ever been to. Gorgeous sun rises and amazing views from everywhere in the park. Beautiful walking, driving, biking trails. We had a bit of an issue with our solar acting up. But we did have our generator, so it worked out. No access to potable water, had to drive miles to get it, so make sure you have it before entering the park. I would definitely recommend this park if you are capable of boondocking. We will be back!

Camping at Jumbo Rocks in Joshua Tree park is a truly special experience. There's nothing like being tucked in amongst the giant sculpted boulders sitting next to your campfire and listening to the coyotes. Take note: there is no cell reception at the campground.

Lovely place. Our spot was a long the road, that was a pity. Only toilet, non flush. Very silent at night. Great spot to see the stars at night.

My kids loved camping here. It was our first time visiting Joshua Tree and loved it. Being born and raised in southern can’t believe it took us this long to visit.

I seen some great changes A lower speed limit in Jumbo Rock and some landscape maintenance but for recreation vehicles to drive through the several side loops in the campground with out putting bad scratches in the sides more needs to be done site Also at several site slide outs can’t be opened because of the overgrown creosote bush

Joshua tree NP is the best, and Jumbo Rocks is our favorite campground. There is so much fun to be had right at your campsite: scrambling, trails, stargazing... we don't need to leave. The toilets are clean, the sites vary greatly, but most are ample in size. Some even sit up in the rocks. They have some RV sites too which is good. No hookups but thats fine. I wish there was a dumpstation and water, since it is a large campground, but getting services out in the desert is probably cost- prohibitive. Going to an all -reservations system is a mixed blessing... Its great if you can score one months ahead of time, but many of the reserved sites were actually unoccupied. This meant that the cg was pretty quiet (great) but Im sure there are lots of people that would have loved to be able to use the unclaimed sites, so thats a bummer. Jumbo rocks is a playground and we love it.

The Jumbo Rocks area is so beautiful and amazing. A great place for kids to climb around in the rocks. Since I was there only 1 night, I definitely will be back.
