Site 81 was lovely for our small RV (26'). It felt nestled in the jumbo rocks and somewhat private. Would book this site again!

Jumbo Rocks is absolutely beautiful! The experience was even better as the campground hosts were friendly and happy to help with a minor issue. The NPS employees we talked to were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Beautiful located campground within Joshua Tree NP. The sites are well maintained. Most attractions are not far away. Even some hikes can be made from the campground.

Jumbo Rocks Campground is close to some great hikes and climbing areas. Most sites have decent privacy.

This campground is set in a breathtaking location. Both the kids and we loved climbing among the rocks, watching the stunning sunsets, and stargazing at the Milky Way at night. However, there were a few drawbacks. The restrooms tended to attract bees during the daytime, though fortunately, they cleared out at night. Also, the restrooms could be quite odorous. While the campsite was almost empty when we visited at the end of August, I noticed that some sites are very close to each other, which could potentially be a concern during peak seasons.

A nice campground with a cool view. Flushable toilets would have been nice. With such a hot climate, the toilets were not smelling really well. But for one night it was ok

Our site felt private, trails were nearby, and our son had so much fun climbing and playing on the rocks. We really loved our stay here! We would definitely stay here again!

had a great time because inclement weather caused most people to pass on the time we were there so one in 10 campsites were occupied.My only suggestion would be to put the signs on the recycling on the front of the bins vice the top. I dumped a mixed bag of aluminum and glass in a bin with the lid open and only noticed the "glass only" label after the stuff had already dropped.

This campground is awesome! So great for kids with lots of rocks to climb. No check in area, all self serve with reservations. Toilets only, no showers. Walk to skull rock. Absolutely no cell service. Beautiful scenery!! We loved it and cant wait to come back.

Jumbo Rocks is a gem of a campground. There are plenty of places to do bouldering, from easy for the kids to harder climbs leading to great vantage points of the area. Dont expect to have cell service so you can properly disconnect. Bathrooms are well maintained. Campground has no running water. The rangers are pleasant and do a great job of patrolling the grounds. Campground is a close hike to Skull Rock and can continue to Face Rock. Great interactive trek with informative signs along the way. The north entrance of park is about 15-20 minutes away and leads to 29 Palms if supplies or food are needed.

Great campsite with plenty of space between neighbors. Make sure to bring plenty of water before you arrive.
