Site 81 was lovely for our small RV (26'). It felt nestled in the jumbo rocks and somewhat private. Would book this site again!

Jumbo Rocks is absolutely beautiful! The experience was even better as the campground hosts were friendly and happy to help with a minor issue. The NPS employees we talked to were very friendly and knowledgeable.

With no WiFi or cell coverage trying to sign up for another day was impossible

Beautiful located campground within Joshua Tree NP. The sites are well maintained. Most attractions are not far away. Even some hikes can be made from the campground.

Lovely site in amongst beautiful rock formations. Lots of privacy, clean restrooms, great hikes right from the campground. Wonderful!

Jumbo Rocks Campground is close to some great hikes and climbing areas. Most sites have decent privacy.

This campground is set in a breathtaking location. Both the kids and we loved climbing among the rocks, watching the stunning sunsets, and stargazing at the Milky Way at night. However, there were a few drawbacks. The restrooms tended to attract bees during the daytime, though fortunately, they cleared out at night. Also, the restrooms could be quite odorous. While the campsite was almost empty when we visited at the end of August, I noticed that some sites are very close to each other, which could potentially be a concern during peak seasons.

A nice campground with a cool view. Flushable toilets would have been nice. With such a hot climate, the toilets were not smelling really well. But for one night it was ok

Our site felt private, trails were nearby, and our son had so much fun climbing and playing on the rocks. We really loved our stay here! We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous campsite location with many trails around and central for exploring the rest of the park.

had a great time because inclement weather caused most people to pass on the time we were there so one in 10 campsites were occupied.My only suggestion would be to put the signs on the recycling on the front of the bins vice the top. I dumped a mixed bag of aluminum and glass in a bin with the lid open and only noticed the "glass only" label after the stuff had already dropped.

Very nice campground. A bit crowded and not perfectly quiet. Still one of our favorites.

The weather didn't cooperate, it was cold and windy. But the campsite and campground and park was beautiful and we still did some hikes (all bundled up).

We had a great camping (RV) experience at Jumbo Rocks campground. We camped at sites 81 and 96 for 4 days and kids had a lot of fun bouldering around our campsite. Hiking to Skull rock and Face rock was an awesome experience with trail starting right from the Jumbo rocks campground. The restrooms were clean and reasonably well maintained.

Quiet at site 81. Clean site with nice picnic table. Much more urban light pollution than expected. Glad we stayed here, and we will return.
@LaurenT720 · Camped on May 2, 2021 at Campsite #81
Beautiful landscape and camping area. My only major complaint was that I found broken glass ALL over the ground in my campsite and had to be very careful to remove it from the areas where I was pitching my tent and sitting.

We loved our night at Jumbo. It rained and snowed! The sunset views were beautiful! The site was well-spaced from neighbors. The fire pit had been recently emptied. 10/10, would do it again. Ron and Heidi (the camp hosts) were friendly and informative!
