Great for stargazing. Beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of places just outside the park to purchase water and firewood.

Site 74 is one of the more private campsites at Jumbo Rocks. At the end of the road on a cul-de-sac it share some outdoor space with site 75 so getting both of those would be ideal for a small group. What's great is that it backs up into wilderness. Sitting outside offers gorgeous views of the rocks, sunset, sunrise. Our rented 18ft campervan for perfectly fine. Pit toilet nearby was pristine. If I return to Jumbo Rocks I would try to get this area of the campground again.

Campsite was spacious and fairly level for our van. Restroom was kept quite clean. Hosts were friendly.

Out of the way from most campsites. It is on a slope so keep that mind when finding a tent site. Clear skies with very little obstruction

Very nice campground! Note that 74 and 75 are neighboring. Refer to the number on the picnic table for site assignment.

Very nice, clean campground with scenic surroundings and the many sights nearby.

What a great spot for tents, small trailers and B vans! Its tight but there were some Cs and even an A managed to squeeze itself into a parallel spot. This location was right next to Skull Rock and I felt it was a nice central location for exploring the sites of the park.Campground was well maintained.

Beautiful. The site we had was quiet (site 74) as it was nestled in the corners. I think the activity was quite low during this time (end of June 2023) due to the heat so the bathrooms were in great working order. I found them to be relatively acceptable and the surrounding grounds to be clean with accessibility to garbage bins and recycling bins. This really is a beautiful campground with respectful campers. I really enjoyed it.

We went midweek to avoid the spring crowds and stayed in Jumbo Rocks Campground. Some of the sites are on the road which did not appeal to us for tent camping. The sit we got was clean and well maintained. Great place to roast hot dogs over the fire. Joshua Tree can be pretty windy but we had light/moderate wind which was fine. I would recommend most all of the campgrounds at the upper elevations.

Solid campsite. Lots of room and very quiet/secluded. Ground is slightly sloped for the most part so it might be hard to pitch multiple (larger) tents but space for one or two. Would book it again.

Awesome views, great escape in the middle of nowhere, best campground in JTNP. Leave no trace!

Not too crowded when I went (mid week in June). Has toilets and trash. Other campers were courteous and actually didn't party loudly past lights out (10pm). Not much shade, but shade is rare in Jtree; bring an EZ-up if you want some!

I have been going to Jumbo Rocks Campground for more than 30 years - awesome as usual!
For new visitors...
It is hot and dry - BRING PLENTY OF WATER and shade.
It is often windy, be prepared to anchor your shade (and tent).
Watch out for snakes.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

Just. absolutely breathtaking. Campsite 76 was lovely, if a bit exposed, but a few steps out; the Mojave with nothing between us and nature.
