Enjoyed beautiful weather, beautiful scenery! Highly recommend the visitor's center and Nomad Ventures next door! Much appreciation for the park staff!

Jumbo Rocks is a spectacular campground. The only downside to me is no water which translates to only pit toilets.

This campsite is near the round about so lost cars kept coming through and turning around because they missed their campsite number since the numbers goes backwards. Campground is amazing and beautiful.

You closed the campground. No refund. Then asked me to rate the experience. I can only answer, poor.

I think this is the most incredible campground in the United States. No hook ups but its unbelievably beautiful space.

I was skeptical about the presence of Jumbo Rocks at the campground as I was driving in but was delightfully impressed! I love how the campsites have been built into the rock formations to give each site a level of natural privacy. Sites were clean and exactly as described. Other guests were quiet and polite. Next time Ill come when its a bit cooler but otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Nice area, but no check in so and limited reception so needed to have information downloaded before arrival.

We only stayed one night, on our way to the Grand Canyon. We loved this campground and plan to return. We stayed in our motorhome so we did not use the facilities, however, we looked inside the restrooms and they were very clean.

Beautiful and varied sites, hiking trail to Skull Rock runs through camp.

The parking for each site was not very accommodating. There was no posting on the board of assigned spots or names on posts. Because we had no cell service we backtracked to get service and pull it up. The entrance booth didn't have listing either. (Our bad for not printing out the reservation.)

Well maintained campground. Nice hiking trail from the campground. It is set up mainly for tents but a few sites can accommodate small trailers or small RV's.

Great campsite! With toilet, fire ring, picnic table. Short walk to the Skull Rock. Very quiet. Take a look up at the sky at night... see all the stars and the beautiful Milky Way!

Jumbo Rocks is a must go to spot! Incredibly special to in a place of such magnitude - humbled by Mother Nature.

Overall I'd say this campground was pretty good, but I must admit I preferred Indian Cove. By comparison, Jumbo Rocks certainly felt a lot busier and less spacious. However, there were more trails nearby, which was a plus. I certainly don't have any complaints about the place, but if you're looking for a quieter camping experience, I'd head to Indian Cove. In any case, scoring a campsite anywhere in Joshua Tree surely won't disappoint!

New growth plants and overgrown plants are still a great problem for Recreational Vehicles to drive through and park in Jumbo Rock campground. Cost due to deep scratches repair is expensive.
