Beautiful and unique experience.So many hiking and rock scrambling options just walking distance from the campground.Campground is cleverly laid out so that each campsite is in its own little nook.

Our tent, our sturdy little tent that has never failed us before, blew down on top of us at 4am, so we broke camp and left around 4:30 am. The winds were so forceful that our neighbors' tent also blew down. Yikes!!!

Ok site, but be aware that this side of the loop does not have a private boulder, just bushes. So no natural wall to block the winds and very limited shade

real great campground in the heart of the park. we stayed at campsite 70 and would definitely return. one thing we could not find was the disposal bin for used propane tanks - I wish that was more clearly marked but did not detract from our otherwise great trip. one thing to be aware of - no cellphone coverage within miles of the campground

As always, spending spring break at Jumbo Rocks, is a lots of fun. This time we got an extra special nature present; flowers everywhere and full moon nights. The campground is always quiet and people with RVs respect early and short generator hours. We are coming back the first opportunity we get.

It was really fun camping in Joshua Tree. It was great to be in an open space somewhere else beside your neighborhood park. Our camp site was outstanding. Some shade here and there. Our neighbors didnt show up so we have the whole 3 spaces to ourselves. The only downside to this camping trip was that its get really cold for us at night. Beside it was a really enjoyable trip! Were heading back again in June!!

Clean campsite. Polite, quiet neighbors. Motorhome generators were quiet. Campfire program was nice. Volunteer on duty several daysa t campground did an excellent job greeting and informing us. Saw staff visit campground only once. Would have been nice to have staff visit more than once over 4 days.

Wonderful. Very nice experience. I would recommend saving a few for first come first served access. Not everyone is equipped to make reservations via computer in advance.

It was great except for the drunk campers in the site across from us staying up until almost 4am. No camp host to be found nearby.

Don't forget the propane cord like I did. But hey we made the most of it. This spot was quiet and had an awesome view of the milky way. I can send my campfire Milky Way picture if you'd like to see it. I love JT and it's only an hour a way from my house. Coming back in June & July. Pack in and pack out. Keep JT beautiful.

Great campgrounds. Sites are well spaced apart, allowing you to feel secluded and not right up against other campers. Bathrooms are well maintained and plentiful!
Watch out for windy forecasts and make sure you have good tent stakes!

Sites are generally separated by rocks and vegetation and were tucked into the landscape. No cell service as expected.

Very scenic area. Campsites are a little close together & curfew does not appear to be enforced. Campsite was noisy 100 yards away. The sound reflected off the boulders, so you could hear every little thing.

Good size campsite. Easy access to wilderness behind the site and also to the skull rock loop trail. No water, bring your own.
