Joshua Tree itself is awesome but we did not love Jumbo Rocks campground. Many of the campsites are extremely close together and it felt like we were almost in the same campsite as the 2 parties on either side. Furthermore, the campers next to us were really loud - I don't blame them, they were having fun, but we were looking for some peace and quiet. We will try a different campground next time.

Gorgeous campsite! Super awesome being tucked in the rocks with views for days. We tent camped in January so it was a bit chilly but loved every bit of it.

The camp ground was as pictured and the pit toilets were clean. The campground host were very present responsive. Overall good camp ground- although some of the sites are very small.

We stayed at #69 and it was one of the best camp spots. We had trees that made the site private from the main road. The rocks in the morning were beautiful. There is a trail from the campground that leads to skull rock that was short and beautiful. No flush toilets and no running water. We brought our 11 liter Nemo for washing dishes etc. the only downside to the campground is that most of the sites are really close to each other and some sites are right on the main road in and out of the campground.

Amazing campground. Respectful campers. Waste Management came through at 730am on Wednesday which seems early to be shaking trash cans around.

Tightly stacked camp sites. Some of them are very cute and tucked away. Others are right on top of each other. Unless you have one of the rare sites that are tucked away, you will be about 10 to 15 feet away from your neighbor. 60 MPH winds in early spring were a challenge too, but not the camp sites fault. I was shocked at how condensed the spots were.

Camp hosts Heidi and Ron were just fantastic. Helped us find additional sites where there were cancellations, allowing us to camp in the park for the full weekend instead of our initial 1-night reservation. We usually just stalk the first-come-first-serve campgrounds, but it was nice to be able to book in advance. We'll be back!
