Site is right next to the restrooms, so you'll get a lot of foot traffic, which is still not too bad. However, the smells from the restroom will start to hit you. They do clean it out I'd say everyday, but that's when the smells hit the most. :/

Our tent site camp was way too close to other people. One group had a big fire with lighter fluid and smoked us out completely. Plus, they had like 5 kids yellingand screaming. We were going to leave Joshua Tree all together, but thought to talk to the campground host. She was able to place us in another camp with less smoke and we enjoyed our stay there. The Park should consider reconfiguring those tent sites, limiting fire (it was 70 degrees outside) and perhaps have family sites vs. small group sites (we were 3 adults).

This is a great place with lots of wonderful spots. Ours was the last one available and we we not right but our site. Didnt make any difference to us but maybe should be flagged.

So beautiful and unique! The rangers were very friendly too. Some campsites are a bit close together (we had to walk through one of our neighbors’ campsites to get from our parking spot to our campsite). There is incredible rock climbing and scrambling on boulders all around the campsite. I highly recommend!

Felt safe and spaced apart enough from other campers.

Great campground for beginners and experienced folks alike ! Superb off hikes over to the top of the rocks for an un-missable sunrise :)

Always have an amazing time every time we camp in Joshua Tree! Made reservations for Keys Ranch and found it very interesting.

Jumbo Rocks is an excellent campsite - but you must go prepared - make sure you take everything you're going to need for your stay - that includes drinking water. Many of the sites are nestled near the name-sake rocks which give a great backdrop to your site and shelter you from the wind. There is lots to see within walking distance from Jumbo Rocks. You can explore the rocks themselves within the site, clambering over them to get a good view of sunrise or sunset, and also there's the hike to Skull Rock which is about 1.5 miles away. As Jumbo Rocks is in the middle of the park it's a good place for astrophotography so if you're into star trails and milky way photos it's a great place to camp - and you're within walking distance to a number of areas which work really well in astro shots.
