Great campground. Clean bathrooms, nice sites. The heat was a lot with it being July but that was to be expected.

What used to be a once magical place is getting ruined. People leave their trash on and off campsites. RVs are everywhere you look and certain times of day all you hear is generators. It's sad. It's just getting overrun with disrespectful people

This was our fourth time camping at Jumbo Rocks and it remains the absolute best experience. Heat, strong winds, pesty flies, bee swarms, but clean bathrooms and clear moonless starry nights you gotta love some of the challenges to enjoy the rewards: like the Milky Way! Wow! Always something new to discover. We hiked Split Rock Trail and it might be my favorite Jumbo Rock hike. So much rocky beauty filled with blossoming cactus flowers. Through some parts, the wind sounded like ocean currents! We cant express enough how much we love it here. The Visitor Center staff always friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Love the new Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms! The freedom to explore on or off the beaten path in Joshua Tree National Park makes it a favorite for anyone

It was lovely, as always. We did the Split Rock hike on Monday morning, and it was glorious.

Jumbo Rocks is a fantastically beautiful campground with lots of room to roam, explore and climb. Though there are over 100 sites, they are nicely spaced so it feels like a smaller, more private campground. This was our second time staying here and we were just as delighted as the first time. Do note there are not campground hosts (that we found, anyway), nor is there firewood or water available in camp (you have to drive to Twentynine Palms, about 20 minutes from the campground).

We were here for 2 nights, location was pretty good! We went Boulder climbing for 2 days around Hidden Valley area which was about 15 min away. I loved the camp ground

Great campsite, kids had a blast climbing the Jumbo Rocks.
Plenty of space in the campsite and plenty of distance between campsites.
Pit toilets a little scary with the bees inside. Otherwise was a great experience.

Sites 62 and 63 were amazing! The only thing that I would suggest is let people know that in these sites, one can fit two cars in one site. We were told when we checked in that there were only two spots but when we go there, we were easily able to fit 4 cars in the two spots.

Bring more water than you think that you will need. The camp host volunteers were super helpful !
