Site #61 is labeled as will fit two cars - maybe two Smart cars but nothing bigger. We left aster one night and moved to Hidden Valley CG.

We camped at campsite 61 and it was very nice. The only complaint was that when the wind blew a certain direction, we got whiffs of the vault toilet. But it wasnt bad so would not be reason to not camp here. Beautiful campsite!

Jumbo Rocks CG was one of the most scenic campsites due to huge rock formations and great sunrise and sunset locations.

Location was beautiful. RV space was very unlevel. Camper next door played his stereo at full blast for hours so the noise pollution was way too high.

Cool places near to the large rocks. Some places are better/more cosy than others. Our place was decent but a bit to small for an RV (25ft) and is was a bit too sloped.

I stayed at site# 061, which was very spacious and had a good amount of space from other campsites. The bad news is that it had almost zero shade, so would not recommend for Summer camping. The location of the campground is outstanding and there are many climbing rocks nearby for all skill levels. You can also easily hike to Skull Rock or make your own hiking trail into the surrounding desert.

Een heel erg mooie camping. Super genoten hier midden in de natuur. Heel erg mooie sterrenhemel. Je moet hier absoluut ook gaan wandelen.

Wonderful campsite with a prefect location in the middle of nature! Just be aware that there are only vault toilet

We love Jumbo Rocks, the hiking is great and the campground is beautiful. We even took a short drive to The Hall of Horrors about 10 minutes away for extra fun!

Fun area to explore immediately surrounding the campgrounds. Campsites were very close to each other and pit toilets need a good scrubbing. Campground is very centrally located and close to many awesome hikes nearby.

A very interesting and beautiful spot. We planned to stay four nights. On the third day, another camper was given our spot. This would have been a problem except we decided to leave a day early before the person showed up. It ended up being a very quick tear down of our campsite so the other person could set up. Happy it worked out but could have been a big problem.

Favorite campground at Joshua Tree! Be sure and do the hike to Skull Rock, and if want to make it longer, add Split Rock, it's gorgeous, about 6 miles all together door to door. Go early.
@WoodyG758 · Camped on Mar 18, 2021 at Campsite #61
Even though this is a huge campground, it’s spread out among a lot of, well jumbo rocks, and feels much smaller than it is. Far enough away from Highway you don’t hear it. Some spots are very close together. We had a pretty big one though.

Peaceful, family oriented campground, good for the young and not so young. Easy access, clean pit toilets, great picnic tables and trash containers. As long as you know water is not available, all is great.
@CassidyA487 · Camped on Feb 12, 2021 at Campsite #61
Campsites are close and compact but well maintained. Most have only a short walk to the restrooms.
This campground is close to skull rock ( only a 1-2 mile walk) and there is a trail head near the campground entrance.
@SahoT275 · Camped on Feb 11, 2021 at Campsite #61
It was great place to camp.
There was actually bathroom and trash bin everywhere.
@DanielE414 · Camped on Feb 10, 2021 at Campsite #61
Amazing location in the park! Close to many of the trails and sights we wanted to see. Close to town and access to all the services we might want. We will try to get back there soon!
