We had a great 3 night trip to Jumbo Rocks. From some reviews, I was concerned that it would be crowded, but instead I found that it was just busy enough to feel safe (alone with kids). The bathrooms were clean and trash was easy to find. (There is also a recycling bin at the entrance.) The location was just stunning. When we go back, I will take a shade tent with me too

Very scenic. Campsites could be bigger but overall great place.

Cramped campsite. Neighbor had a dog off-leash the whole time. I had to complain 4 times before park staff approached them.

This visit we stayed in Jumbo Rocks campsite 57. It's a nice site, although we were VERY disappointed to find that our firepit and many of the firepits near us had not been cleaned in quite a long time. Our pit was full to the top with ashes. In order to have a safe campfire, we shoveled the ash in to a trash bag placed inside a cardboard box. Unfortunately we were unable to move the box due to it's weight and also, all of the dumpsters in our area of the campground were also full to the top. Under normal circumstances we would never leave anything behind in our campsite (pack in pack out of course). I was sorry that in this case, we had to leave what should have been cleaned up before we got there. Also, in the site behind us (no. 56) someone had pulled out a dead tree stump and attempted to burn it some time previously. I realize that our national parks are under-budgeted but I've never experienced this level of lack of care in Jumbo Rocks campground. Otherwise, our visit was awesome as always and we'll be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jumbo Rocks campground! The campsites are situated near boulders and offer plenty of space, privacy, picnic tables, level ground and fire rings. Be prepared with plenty of water for drinking, cleaning up and washing dishes as there' no running water.

Really fun campground. Great views. Camp sites are large and pretty flat.

I have been coming to this national park since it was a national monument and mostly dirt roads. I was very disappointed to find our reserved campsite littered with trash. Several plastic bags in the bushes, what looked like foam streamers in the fire pit, glass shards all over the place, a pile of cigarette butts. We had to spend a good 30 to 45 minutes minutes cleaning up before we could even set up our camp. And, this is something thats more personal, but I hate seeing all the RVs there. They truly ruin the landscape and the sound of the generators ruin the quiet that I have found there for years. Is there a way to reserve certain loops for RVs and others for tents?
