Clean. Well maintained. Good facilities. Adequate space. Gorgeous views. Good for kids of all ages. Some campers were playing airsoft and littering pellets through the camp ground. Would have been nice to have a more actively involved camp host at that time. Garbage dumpsters needed more frequent emptying. Overall, look forward to returning in the future. Great site and ground.

Beautiful site, a short walk from car parking, but therefore a bit more private. Toilet very well maintained- clean. Lovely sunrise views to the east worth getting up to see. Cant wait to return.

Trash everywhere, loud campers - not a restful environment.

Centrally located. Nice fire pit and nice large table. My campsite 051 was large with lots of room. No shade and not near my car, but easy to get to.

Beautiful place to stargaze. Do note, you will most likely not have signal at Jumbo Rocks campsite and the site does not have showers available.

Jumbo Rocks campground is beautiful, and right in the middle of Joshua Tree. We had a great stay.

Close to a lot of hikes. Skull and Face Rock accessible from the campground. Great for a nighttime hike.

The campground is beautiful but unfortunately they dont take care of the restrooms. Trash was overflowing onto the floor without being emptied for TWO days! Unacceptable I think they need to increase maintenance it was disgusting and unsanitary. Other than that its a lovely camp. But you need to let people know when the site is literally just a parking spot (Alongside several other parking spots) and you need to walk into your campground. We have a Volkswagen vanagon and slept in it, so the experience was diminished having to just sleep in a parking space. Pictures should be on the reservation system so this is clear as there is no turning back once youre there. Still, despite all this, the beautiful park made it all worth it!

We booked this site along with multiple sites in this loop for our Cub Scout winter camp out. The Scouts had so much fun scrambling in the campsite that it was hard to drag them away for even a hike. Great experience!

The ground is actually pretty soft so its nice on the feet and to sit on. The stars are spectacular. Very serene.

I've been going to Jumbo Rocks since I was a kid. Used to be you could just roll in on a Monday and find a camp. These days it's a bit crowded, but being the desert, if you go off the beaten path, it's still pretty easy to find some space to lay on a rock and stare at the sky in peace, go explore some open trails. It's hard to not enjoy the majestic Joshua Tree.
