Spot 49 was great!! Its close to bathrooms (they were very clean) and tucked away into its own little area, further away from others compared to other sites. Ton of space and perfect for sunset. Our tent was a six person tent and the space made it look small. When coming back to Joshua tree, we will definitely be back to this spot!

Parking space is almost on top of restroom facility and very distant from picnic table and grill. Site photos do not make that clear. Moving gear to the site is therefore more time consuming. Great potential for rambles above and beyond the actual campsite.

Site 49 should not be a site .. directly next to toilet. I was very disappointed. Despite most of the area being reserved, at most 25% of the people actually showed up. I wished I had not reserved.

Great campground, stayed for two nights. Only 1 star off because I was too close to the restroom. There were people walking through my campground all through the night

Even with reservations it was way too packed. Too much light pollution, but overall it was great

I was late in securing a camp site, hence, the better ones werent available. Had planned to camp in vehicle but parking for our spot (#49) was next to other parked vehicles. Set up tent on uneven ground in designated area. Still good. Love Joshua Tree.

Camping at jumbo rocks was nice! There were some people set up at our campsite when we arrived, we asked them to move and they just moved over to the next campsite. There was some trash around the area, we happily cleaned it up before we set up our stuff.
