Great campsite. A little sloped but we fit 4 small tents.

There are tons of camping spots in JT, and this is the only one Ive tried, so I cant compare. But it was well protected from wind, wash easy to find, lots of bathrooms and trash. There is no water or cell service anywhere in the park, but thats ok, meet your neighboring campers. The sites are small, so if you want more privacy, book 2.

The site I stayed at was not the best. It wasn't very level but I still had a good time.

We stayed at site 47! First off, it was a great campground. The people were friendly, bathrooms were clean, easily accessible (walking or short drive) to lots of different trials and tons of boulders to climb on. We enjoyed walking up and watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee on the rocks behind us. Few things to note thoughthere is a slight grade to the site, so when we were sleeping we felt like we were sliding down. The second night we figured that if we opened our sleeping bags and use them as a blanket it might be better? And it was! Our sleeping bags were slippery but still there is a decent grade to the site. Also, I would say only a small tent would work best here - which it tells you in the details on the website. Otherwise, we made the best of it and enjoyed it! We will be back! Highly recommend this campground! Enjoy :)

Jumbo Rocks campground is a great place to camp. Lot to see and do in the campground and within walking distance. Had a great time exploring Jeep trails in the Dale Mining District as well.

Jumbo Rocks Campground never disappoints. Amazing terrain and stark beauty. Campsites are well situated and provide good privacy. A favorite place!

I loved my stay at Jumbo Rocks campsite. The beauty in and around the campgrounds were enough to keep you exploring for hours. It was an easy drive to get to and a great stepping off point to explore other areas of the park. I stayed at site 47 and the only reason I knocked a star off is because the terrain at that space was on an incline and was hard to find a flat spot to pitch my tent. Ended up slowly sliding down while I slept so it was kinda annoying. Other than that I cannot wait to go back.

A classic for a reason. The first couple of days were very windy, and this kept us from chilling as much as we would have preferred, but days 3 and 4 were near-perfect camping experiences. Park Rangers were available and friendly, and the spaces were and are well-kept. The pit toilets got pretty full by Sunday, so maybe increase the frequency of drainage? I dunno. Still, a beautiful space in a beautiful place.

Functional campground. The vault toilets were clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Beautiful scenery all around with gigantic rock formations to scramble and explore. The quality of your evening can vary depending on the people in proximity to your camp site. Since it is a campground with vehicle access there will be ambient engine and wheel noise throughout the night. Some people may also feel more encouraged to bring items for home such as loud speakers and bright lights which can mar the experience. Overall it is a good enough place for short-term rest.
