Campsite was nice and clean. Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked with supplies

There are a lot of things to do at Joshua Tree NP. Great hiking, rock scrambling/climbing,historical mines to explore, great night sky and more. I sometimes wont even leave the campground and just relax, take in the beautiful desert and reset the soul!!

Enjoyed a quiet, peaceful three night stay at Jumbo Rocks campground. Plenty of clean vault toilets spread around the campground. A trailhead to Skull Rock was in the campground. No cell service was available on T-MOBILE. Plenty of available hikes, from easy to strenuous. A fun trip to Joshua Tree!

Its a 25 minute distance from entrance which can result of a lot of driving if you forget or need anything.

Campground was nice and the place is unreal. Dont expect it to be quiet.Lots of bad driving motor home arrivals from LA and the generators run way past the posted hours with little to no Rangers in sight

Great Campground, even with people at the sites next to us we had a lot of room and privacy. Really cool area in the middle of the national park to climb on some rocks and look at the great views. Our dog loved the room to run around, not too much wildlife around since it's a crowded campground.

Jumbo Rocks was so much fun! We were at site 45. It was right next to some jumbo rocks that the kids could climb. The site was sort of in a bowl, which might have helped against the wind slightly.

My husband and I spent two nights at Jumbo Rocks and it was incredible. We had spot 45, which was perfect. It was set back from the road and was pretty big. It was flat and a fair distance from the restrooms. I think it would be easy to get a lesser spot though so I think we were lucky. Be sure to come with water and firewood ahead of time. For sights, Skull rock is fine but my favorites were hidden valley and panorama view. We also hiked lost horse mine but it wasnt very well marked. We just loved our time at Joshua Tree and Jumbo Rocks.

We had a wonderful time - and although it was a bit difficult to select an appropriate camp site without truly seeing it, we ended up driving to the grounds, exploring the park, writing down some sites we liked, then riding back to an area with reception to find one available to reserve. All in all we had a fabulous time and will certainly be returning many times in the future.

Nice campground! Huge variety of spots and we had an owl fly up right by us, which was super cool. Lots of parking so good for groups.

Clean, good for a large tent, private space. Rocks bordering parking space was a tripping hazard. close to the restrooms.

Only 3 stars because the bathrooms and campsites here get more trashed than I've seen at any other park. Otherwise, great campground in the middle of an awesome field of boulders - jumbo rocks! And it's Joshua Tree, so expect neighbors at the campsites around you, expect them to be a little louder/more party mode here, accept that and you'll enjoy yourself.

Great, beautiful place. Very clean and clear directions all the way through. 100% recommend, but keep in mind it gets super cold at night.
