Jumbo Rock Campground is a first rate site with an interesting view aroubd every turn. We saw Coyotes, squirrels and blue jays. The easy hike from there to Skull Rock was awesome.

Jumbo rocks is a gem. Site 41 fits a motorhome you can use your pop out but you gotta button up real close. You need blocks to level out, its on a slant. There is room for 1 tent but its not very level, you can probably get another small tent but the area isnt too level. Cool rocks for the kids to climb right at your site. Would stay at this site again.

Great site location, beautiful views, access to hikes on foot from our campsite. No water or dumpsites, only composting toilets.

Great spot for stargazing and rock climbing. Big site with rocks and flat sand area. We come back again

Fascinating place - Really enjoyed the Hidden Garden. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is very hot during the day (it is a desert) and bees seeking moisture would swarm in the outhouses after being hosed down. I did find that the bees were not that interested in me but rather the water and we shared the outhouse for several days without my getting stung. Added new birds to my life list.

Easy set up. Ranger gave kid a junior ranger pamphlet in the morning. Dog-friendly. Coyote roaming campground so dont let your little dog off the leash. Love it!

Always my favorite place to camp. Easy to do self directed hikes. It can get a bit loud at night depending on your neighbors. But bring some earplugs and go watch the sunrise in the morning. Its truly spectacular!

This campground is amazing and site 41 is wonderful. its right next to big rocks, perfect for photos. the campground is perfect for exploring the jumbo rocks in joshua tree national park. the camping spot is a bit slanted so bring levelling materials. our 30 foot motorhome plus a bike rack on the back fit perfectly. it is a bit far from the bathrooms which is perfect because they did emit a bit of a smell. we used starlink which worked for when we needed to get in touch, but there is absolutely zero cell service out here. i would camp here again in a heartbeat!

I think some of the trail markers could be better.I thought that the park was a dark sky park the other campers did to seem to know it .We enjoyed the park will go back .

This is a beautiful campground. Site 41 was a bit tight for our 25 foot RV, but we made it work. Otherwise, nice Jumbo rocks surrounding the picnic area that you can climb up to see the view. Would be great to share with friends. It would be great if there was some sort of data / internet access at the park. I realize this is also a reason to be there - unplugged and all. However we could not research hikes or book another night. There are no camp hosts (that I know of) either so no possible way to research anything online unless going into town.

Far too much mindless cruising by people without reservations. Park service needs to address signage and enforcement.

We didn't see any rangers or campground hosts here all weekend. It's a beautiful spot but without someone to enforce reservations someone was already fully occupying the campsite we paid for when we showed up.

The jumbo rocks campground was amazing, our children loved it. So many places to climb such a beautiful area amazing wildlife. The main issue we had was with the bees they were everywhere!
