Absolutely beautiful park. Campsite among the jumbo rocks was amazing. Lots of hiking trails accessible from the campground and more sites to see a short trip up the road. Definitely coming back.

What a magical place! Lots of kids running around so if you dont mind light chaos (like most busy campgrounds) then this place is great. Its one big playground of monzo-granite. And its walkable to some really fun climbing. We also saw some coyotes trotting though, which I thought was a fun touch, just keep those small pets on a short leash!

Amazing views. I loved the pull-through sites. With only one side facing the road and the campsite on the other it felt very private. Unfortunately, I was on a hill and had difficulty getting level enough for the propane to power my refrigerator.

Beautiful desert

Beautiful park and camping spot that is perfect for a rooftop tent. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we were unlucky that a group of students stayed in the spot opposite to us and kept us and other guests up all night with music, loud talking, and incredibly rude behaviour. Wish there were some park rules that would be enforced to keep this beautiful spot nice and quiet during the night.

The whole of Joshua Tree National Park is something out of this world. So beautiful, so amazing, there is no other campsite like Jumbo Rocks. The big boulders throughout the campsite are mesmerizing. Sunsets and sunrise are stunning from Jumbo Rocks. At night , the sky lights up with bright stars. The trails to Scull Rock is beautiful and as are many other hiking trails nearby. There is no water or electricity in the camp and the toilets are vault toilets but very clean. One ought to experience Joshua Tree and Jumbo rocks at least once in their lifetime.

Beautiful place, next to big rock formations. Very quiet night. We went for the Split Rock Trail in the afternoon. I loved waking up here:)

Its amazing to camp among these beautiful jumbo rocks! There are hikes accessible right from the campground. Most of the sites can only accommodate tents or smaller RVs.

The "tent" site ( site 40) was so small, there was no flat spot to put a medium size tent. I had to sleep in the truck.Jumbo Rocks Campground is located next to trails and good bike riding so that compensated somewhat.

Get up before sunrise and go to a place with an easterly view; in the late afternoon be on the western side of the park to see sunset. Go to the popular spots early in the day to find a parking spot.

Beautiful campground. Perfect with children. Especially when they like to climb on rocks. Some easy trails nearby. You can walk to Skull Rock.

The Jumbo Rocks Campground was amazing! The campsites are nestled into the huge rounded rocks. Just walking around the campground is exciting! I especially liked the walk to the Skull Rock. The staff was also very nice and helpful. This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever been to!

What a cool campground. Had space #40 with our van and it worked fine. I like the intermix of tent, can and RV campers in one place. The topography and access up the rocks is wonderful. Walking access to a few trails is great, and proximity to the main road with lots of drives and great hikes makes things easy.
