Excellent views. Great sites. Clean bathrooms. Many people showed to their site late at night which made for a disturbing night.

Great experience until the neighbors came. Keep in mind there is another site behind this one so your neighbors will walk by you. Fortunately but unfortunately for us, our neighbors didnt arrive until after midnight until which they proceeded to talk out loud, sing, and get drunk. I swear they were the loudest group in this campground and mind you, it was a holiday weekend. Other than that, our experience was pleasant. Just make sure to look at the maps closely so youre not too close to other groups.

Great place to sleep in the Park, surroundings are gorgeous! It's very "natural" though, no showers or real restroom so be prepared. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

Plan for unexpected chgs in weather; binoculars are an added treat for birding and glorious stars.

The campground was clean. It was at a beautiful location. The RV close to us had its heater or generator off and on all night. It was cold--around 30 degrees. It was December 19-21, 2022. We had 5 adults and 3 children, ages 3, 5, and 7. We especially enjoyed hiking Skull Rock, the Discovery Trail, Ryan Mountain (with the adults one early morning), Hidden Valley (a favorite), Barker Dam, and Indian Cove. The hiking highlight was hiking through the two slots of Hall of Horrors. A volunteer ranger showed us the way. It was located in the far end of the area, and then around and behind. It would have been nice to have marked directions. On one day, one of the adults rode his gravel bike 15 miles on roads and really enjoyed the scenery. The Joshua trees were interesting to look at--all shapes, sizes, and configurations. We would come again.

Jumbo Rocks is a magical place. We saw the milky way at night. We and our little kids (3 and 6) climbed and climbed. We found so many bluebells (early April). It was way less windy than our experience of camping at Black Rock. A coyote romped though the campground on our last day at Jumbo Rocks. Can't wait to come back.

Great park and campground as always. This site is great with easy parking and spacious for 2 tents plus room for a ez-up shade area by the picnic table. Do be mindful that it is next to a trail to sites 38 and 39 and campers there may take shortcuts through this campsite.

The location was beautiful even though other sites were very close to us.Be careful of fire pits. Right after we set up camp and were resting in our tent the camp host shouted to us because there was an untended fire in the pit. We hadnt started any fire. It just began spontaneously from embers left by campers before us.

Gorgeous setting. Sites 38 and 39 probably preferable to 37 as they are set back from the road. Lost oasis hike is too notch. Wish I were a better camper and did better without showers else Id still be there.

THE LOCATION FOR OUR CAMPSITE WAS A BIT ODD, BUT FOR US IT WAS JUST FINE. THE TABLE WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE PARKING AREA AND OTHER SITES WERE BEHIND IT. WE DID FINE. IT WAS CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL.
