As always Jumbo Rock in Joshua Tree National Park was very nice. We went in the middle of the week and the camp site was almost empty. Temp was about 80 during the day and only a little chilly at night. The park was clean of any trash and the restrooms were clean and well stocked.

Jumbo Rocks is a great Campground. It seems geared towards big families, and has lots of bathrooms and great rocks to climb too. I loved waking up early and walking out across the Park Drive to watch the sunrise, and also set.

Spectacular views! Kids enjoyed climbing the rocks and exploring the area.Entertainment for days. The location of this campsite was amazing as it was connected to several trail heads, like skull rock. The only downside was there was not a sink nor flushable toilet by our site, only compost toilet. We did not have any service in this part of the park but planned accordingly and used walkie talkies to communicate. Definitely will be back with family and friends!

Camp sites were clean, bathrooms cleaned daily. Quiet. Ryan campground was noisy a couple of nights and I had to deal with adjacent campers at midnight.

Nice site overall. Great for one tent. I wouldn't have known where to put a second tent on an even/level surface.

Had a good time, only there for one night. Was a last-minute trip so was at Ryan then Jumbo Rocks, and then back to Ryan. The weather was perfect and did a few short hikes in the area. Only issue was the guy across from me with the brand new jeep who had problems figuring out how to turn on his backup light without turning on his headlights - which were pointed pretty much straight into my campsite. From my observations, I was about a week or so early. Most of the cactuses were just getting ready to bloom, should be pretty spectacular in a week or so.

The scenery is beautiful and the sites are nice. The bathrooms are very poorly maintained, unfortunately.

We enjoyed this site very much. We could park near the picnic table. The campground is nicely laid out for every campsite to be somewhat private. There was a flat space for the tent. We were greeted by the campground host so we felt safe. I appreciated how close it was to the bathroom. It was so beautiful near the big rocks and central in the park.

We were a bit close to our neighbors, but it turned out fine. We enjoyed direct access to Skull Rock trail right from the campsite.

It was such a nice n relaxing stay at Jumbo Rocks campground. Wish something could be done about all the bees at the restrooms tho. But overall, had fun taking a lot of short hikes around all the cool rock formations n saw a lot of wildlife too! Including a coyote hunting for food near skull rock! Sooo cool! Aloha🤙🏽

I was there mid-week, non-holiday, and although I had read a review on the internet of campers that had experienced noisy, clueless neighbors, this luckily was not the case when I was there (first week of December 2020). The campground was quiet, and OMG if you want to see stars--this is your jam! I had what I consider to have been an experience viewing something in the night sky that surely must have been "not of this earth", and I felt so lucky to have been there and to have seen it!. Don't miss Hidden Valley; it's a one mile loop hike, and is spectacular if, you know, you get off on rocks and desert flora (I do!). Damn cold at night (high 30's), so pack for it and have a blast!
