I love this campground! It really feels "out there" in there park with its access to the wilderness of Joshua Tree. The rock formations are SO cool and so much fun to explore.

Spacious corner compared to other sites nearby, though you have to walk a little bit from the parking, which could not be a problem if you light packed or with a wheeled cart. The weather in December was nice, not too cold by the fire pit in the evening and the morning was way better than the early summer. We took plenty of water, and not a hard time for us. A great night to be disconnected. So chill under the stars.

Best campsite in America. Beautiful and unique location. Perfect for kids to explore. Services are basically zero, so bring everything you need - especially water.

One of the best campsites that I have been to! Not many bugs because it is a desert. Stargazing is beautiful.

Lovely campground set in the middle of rocks and boulders. We were a bit unlucky with the strong wind.

Loved the campsite. It was a bit of a walk to get to and can get tiring if you have a lot of stuff, but overall, it was nice, flat, and spacious. It was also a bit secluded from others and the main road.

The COOLEST rocks! Excellent views and large rocks to explore no matter which site you're at. Joins Skull and Face Rocks trails, which are both must sees.

Loved staying at Jumbo Rocks spot 30. I think that spot is the best or second best in the campground. Separated from other campers and great hiking right from the spot. Nice views too. I'll try to get the same spot next time I go.

Good site. Clean. Near restroom. Wish it was not slanted because tent camping on slanted ground is horrendous. Fun experience. Would come back but picking a better site next time.

Jumbo rocks campground is centered in the park so it is convenient to get to many of the "must see" destinations within the park. It is a fun place to explore on its own. Some of the campsites are set back, so you have to walk through other people's sites to set up, so that is the only inconvenience. Pit toilets were extremely clean.

What an incredible campground. I only stayed one night, but we had such a good time climbing around the nearby boulders. Surprisingly sheltered from the wind, and is at the epicenter of the park. Within 10-20 minutes of Barker Dam, Hidden Valley, Ryan Mountain, Split Rock, Keys View, Cholla Cactus Garden, etc.

Bathrooms were clean and well stocked with tp. Campgrounds were pretty close together, so cross your fingers for quiet neighbors! If you can, turn your car door lock beeps to "off" during your stay, as they can be heard during overnight hours.

Beautiful place to be, but beware, the campsites are packed together and we got 'lucky' enough that on one of our nights, our neighbors were a bunch of hipsters in their early 20s or so, who apparently came to a national park to party. Didn't get a very good sleep that night, what a shame in such a beautiful place.
