Jumbo Rocks was amazing. I was afraid wed be too close to other campers, but despite it being a large camp site it never once felt overcrowded. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper. Weather was perfect for Spring Break early April. Campsite #27 was great, flat, and spacious. Lots of safe places for my kids to climb explore. And you can even get 1-bar of cell service if you climb up a short path just about 100 ft away.

Good tucked in campsite. Had lots of rocks/pathways right next to us for my son to explore. These also have good privacy for adjacent campsites. Would recommend.

Had a great time, in a great site. A bit cold this time of year once the sun goes down but did fine in the tent. No crowds and nice and quiet.

Quiet and good doace between campsites. Pit toilets were very clean and im not a fan of pit toilets. I really liked that there were a few trails right from the campsites - no need to drive

We loved the hike on both the skull rock nature trail and the Discovery Trail. Neither require driving anywhere!

Beautiful spot between the big rocks. Lots of cars parked nearby.

Beautiful location, stars for days. We have a large tent and had plenty of room, parking was great. Pit toilets only, they were very clean and well stocked. No wifi or running water but we knew that coming in.

Stayed just one night (space 27) and had the whole section to ourselves! The spot was perfect; backed our SUV right up near the campsite. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was bit windy in the morning so cooking breakfast was an adventure. Trying to find Skull rock from the campground was too challenging (trail is not well marked; signage is confusing). We ended up stopping along the road on our way out the next day. Much easier to find (as it is literally right off the side of the main road in Joshua Tree).

My daughter and I absolutely loved this campground and site 027. Its specious with tons of privacy. Will be returning. Do not forget to haul all the water you need for your stay (drinking, washing hands, brushing teeth, etc), as there is no water source there.

This camp ground was very good to camp. But it doesn't have any Joshua tree in surround area. I took several night pictures but the results were not so great because of no Joshua tree in the pictures. I will stay other camp site in next time. If you want just camp with comport I recommend this camp.

It was amazing but insanely hot for a dog. Very blessed and grateful for the shade a single tree provided me and my dog (seriously!) but also would recommend hiking boots for a dog! Love J tree:) thank you for having us :) :)

This was a great campground! There are a lot of dumpsters, bathrooms, and there are even places to properly dispose of small propane tanks. We saw the garbage truck come by during our 2 night stay and I think the bathroom was also cleaned at the time. One thing to note is that the vault toilets do not have hand sanitizer dispensers or lights at night, so be sure to bring your headlamp and hand sanitizer for the bathroom. Otherwise, the proximity to attractions was good and there's even a trail that starts very close to the campground. I really enjoyed Lost Horse Mine hike and Keys View (this is just a view point on paved ground!), both of which are a short drive away.

Wow! What an amazing campsite. At night, you can see the Milky Way while you listen to the wind in the Joshua trees. It was wonderful to wake up to sunrise amid giant boulders. This campground gives you direct access to some great hiking trails going around Skull and Face rocks. These are great trails for children. Everyone else who drives in during the day to see them has to park on the road. If you stay at Jumbo rocks, you don't need to jostle for parking or walk on the road. The vault toilets are effective, don't smell, and get the job done. Bring sufficient water, firewood, and perhaps shade if you plan to hang around the campsite during the day. I don't think you'll regret this
campground.

Great get away from the city! Bring lots of water and/or fill up at the visitor centers!

Beautiful, quiet camp space. Very clean, and the one I was at felt very private from the nearby spaces. Nice fire ring. Clean restroom. It was a little hard to find my numbered space because I read one of the signs wrong - if the printout had a small map that would help. Spaces were perfect for tent camping, trailer or coach I'd have had to be more selective (I'm trying to decide if I want a small trailer or to keep tenting - this told me to keep tenting).
