Very nice campsite which would easily accomodate 3 tents in a nice setting with many rock formations. Close to the bathroom which was kept clean & well-stocked with toilet paper. Only wish it had a canopy over the table to block the sun.

The campground was clean and quiet. Our site was amazing. Would highly recommend. Note there is NO water in the campground.

Jumbo Rocks campground is a great place to stay & experience Joshua Tree National Park. It has easy access to the 29 Palms entrance. There is no water , so come prepared :-).

Such a beautiful campground and area, you really can't go wrong. There are MANY amazing campsites at Jumbo Rocks. So many places to explore around the campgrounds. And the way the landscape runs throughout, you feel like you're in your own little world, away from others (depending on which site you choose). You also have trail access to Skull Rock and can follow the whole loop around. I highly recommend doing it at sunset. There are also plenty of pit toilets and garbage bins around. I'll be back!

Great views. Campsite was isolated with rocks / hills on the side. Which made it so much better. Skull rock trail is less than a mile away. Super convenient.

The campground was beautiful, with a large variety of spaces for different kinds of camping. We saw lots of quail and even a few coyotes in the middle of the day when most people had left the campground. Site #26 had a nice table and fire ring, but the parking area was very uneven and narrow. It was not a good spot for camping in a van/RV.

Always a beautiful camping experience here at Jumbo Rocks. This trip had some guy decide to sleep outside on the rock above my campsite, even though he had rocks by his own site. Thought it was weird but whatever dude. He didnt make it the whole night, it got down to the 30s and he was gone by 11 pm LOL.

Peaceful camping spot within a fifteen second walk to the toilet without sight of it nor of the campers in nearby sites. Quiet, beautiful camping in a spotless campground surrounded by gorgeous boulders and wildlife.

I loved staying there with the family (2 kids / 3yo). We parked on the RV site next to the road. Had no issues with our 30ft RV with slide-outs left and right (as long as you park close to the rocks). The scenery was certainly the best we had during our 2 weeks trip. The site provides a grill and a fire ring. Me and the kids loved climbing the rocks right next to the site. Definitely would love to come back.

We had the greatest time at this campground. It was in the perfect location with the most amazing natural landscapes. We were so lucky to have gotten this spot, the kids and us had a wonderful time. We hope to return soon!

Jumbo Rocks is a great place to go...at least once to experience it and the surrounding area.
Everything went as planned except the site was far from level! It would be good if Recreation.gov would indicate if the sites were level. Some campers don't need level but we have a cab-over camper so if the truck isn't level, the camper isn't level... had it use all of our leveling blocks (30) and redo them every time we left site seeing...

Would have been a 5 star rating if they had ever cleaned the toilets!!! We passed they on a Sat and Sunday and saw they were VERY busy. We checked in on Monday and the never cleaned anything. AMAZINGLY BAD SERVICE.
