Nice campground. Though no cell service. Sign for campgrounds 25-4x is pointing in the wrong direction. Passed the road to my campsite twice before guessing the sign was pointing improperly.

This was a really fun place to camp. Lots of easy hiking trails near by. This is not a drive through campsite you can drive up next to the site which is somewhat blocked by a big bush but still was a fun place to camp with kids.

Over the years I've traveled through Joshua Tree by motorcycle with friends and had to stay at Cottonwood campground each time, as Jumbo Rocks was never available. On a recent trip my wife and I were traveling in our motorhome and were able to get a site in Jumbo Rocks for one night on our way back home to SoCal. We were excited to spend some time there! Unfortunately, the weather was terrible. It was cold and very windy when we arrived, but we did get to explore the area a bit before it started raining hard. In spite of the bad weather we were able to get a sense of what the campground was like and loved it. We will try to come back again with our grandkids as they'll love exploring the area and climbing on the rocks.

Wonderful area for my truck camper. Away from digital distractions. Few level spots, had to lift the camper off the truck slightly. Otherwise a Wonderful experience.

Lovely campground nestled in huge boulders. Many sites are fairly small. No Verizon connectivity.

fGreat scenery and the camp sites are well spaced. Restrooms (pit toilets only) were kept clean and stocked on a daily basis. The park service provides adequate trash, recycling, and propane bottle recycling bins throughout the campground. The only minus and to us its a big minus is the reservation system. The system is easily manipulated so the campground appears totally full and you can not claim a vacant site upon arrival even when at any given time there are people who do not show up and the camp site goes unused. Yes the park service and recreation.gov benefit by collecting a fee for unused sites but the general "drop in" visitor can not sign in to an unused site. There must be a better system than this. From a former National Park Ranger.

Beautiful campground; well maintained facilities....loved the Skull Rock trail with the starting point across from the campground. Ryan Mountain hike was great. Geology tour was interesting and walk out to Balance Rock was a highlight. Excursion to Cap Rock, Hidden Valley and Barker Dam are all close by. For cold Spring nights, bring a warm hat, along with your warm jacket.

Amazing campground and was super impressed with how cleans and well run everything was. So great to see recycling at a campground. We will be back!
