Cute spot with direct access the rocks to climb or just enjoy. Note that the spots are very close together not much privacy here.

Great campground nestled in the rocks. A little close to adjacent site but this one is tucked back with privacy. Great place to watch sunset and stars.

These campsites are quite smaller than most others weve experienced in Joshua Tree. Great location and absolutely stunning but pay special attention to surrounding spots and how close they will be.

The campground is well maintained and the location is amazing!

The rock formations at the campsite were awesome, and made this a very desirable place to camp. The facilities were not great. Just a permanent port-a-potty. No sink, no water for dishes. (What do you expect for the desert, right?). If you are going to camp in JTNP, Jumbo Rocks is a top pick. Just be prepared for the lack of water.

Love this visit. We had so much fun, first time with our toddler. Lots of trails nearby to walk with her. And with the rocks it felt secluded. Which was great!

Great place to camp, a bit hot in the end of May, next time we would go in April. Can go hiking right from campground.

Website and campsite selection a bit of a pain. You have to have the NPS, Recreation and Goggle maps open at the same time to look at and select a site. Skinny horizontal photos of campsite almost useless. Nice if you could click on photo to see more of the sit. And a printable map of camp ground would be a great addition.

Great location! There are lots of fun places to explore nearby which are accessible to many visitors.

Such a lovely campground. Some of the sites are really close, but the people were all respectful. Even though the campground was fully booked, we noticed a lot of empty sites. Climb the rocks and explore!

Very attractive surroundings and a good base for exploring the park

Definitely put Joshua Tree and especially the Jumbo Rocks Campground area on your list when visiting this park. This campground can be easily overlooked on your visit. Take a hike through the surrounding rocks.

We have a camper, so we don't need a lot with regards to campsites. Our site at Jumbo Rocks (reserved #21, stayed in #24) was okay, but the parking spots were side by side for the whole loop, and the campers in site 23 had a rooftop tent, so we were very close. I was expecting a site with a little more distance between campsites. Also, someone else was in our spot and we moved, thanks to the help of campground host Ron and his wife. The other campers were mistakenly off by a day.

This is a spectacular campground. Stunningly beautiful. Just remember to bring water and leave yourself enough time.

I love this campsite! Our campsite was clean and included the perfect amount of space. The bathrooms were very well kept and disposal of trash was easy. The sunset from here was peaceful and it was the perfect place to check out of the real world for an evening.

Jumbo Rocks was the perfect location for our Adventure! Right in the middle of the National Park. Their were no people on the trails and weather was perfect. Can’t wait to return!

Amazing place with amazing views, but the campsites are tiny. They are clearly trying to crowd in as many sites as they can here. Less than 10ft from the table for our site and the site next door. If its a busy weekend be ready to make friends with your neighbors, all of them. If your trying to get away from everyone for the weekend this may not be the place. Expect to have a minimum of two other sites pretty much on top of yours, not good for big groups
