Great spot for kids, they love exploring while the adults are setting up or tending to the campsite.

Good spot! I was able to fit a medium-large sized tent and one small tent on this site. There is one site just passed this one that requires campers to walk just beside this site. However, tents can be positioned to create a bit more privacy. Overall, great experience! Would camp here again anytime!

I love Jumbo Rocks and have been camping here for years. My only complaint is I wish there were a way to cut down on non-camper crowds flooding the campground. I literally had several tourists that pulled up and parked and several rudely walked through my campsite and the surrounding other sites to take photos and hike. This was upsetting and I was infuriated that my peaceful space was violated multiple times during my stay.

This is a beautiful campground, the sites are private, and many are in spectacular settings. Thank you all you wonderful park employees, we appreciate you greatly, and our hearts are with you.

Campsite was staggered with other campsites. We had the other campers walking by our campsite since the path is on our campsite to get to theirs.

Incredible location to spend a night under the stars sandwiched between twisted Joshua Trees and molten rock formations.

Beautiful spot, nestled among the rock formations. Some spots are small and not very private because of the terrain, but its still magical. The coyotes are active and howl from the surrounding hills at dawn and dusk.

19 was a wonderful site, we set up on Friday night. It was warm in the day 57F. It was cold and windy in the evening 32F. It snowed a tiny bit at 3am. I would come to Jumbo Rocks for future camping the bathrooms were clean. Beautiful short hike to Skull Rock.

Gosh. I love the desert so much and to be able to sleep among the Jumbo rocks was really rewarding.

Amazing scenery! Great sites! Definitely would have preferred an rv experience at this park over a tent.

Great place to camp. Great access to an amazing hike. The campsite is clean and even though the campsites are closed to each other, the sites can be private with the help of the rocks and bushes. The night, sunset and sunrise are beautiful. Its really cool to just reflect and just enjoy the quietness of it all. The hiking is really cool. I enjoyed pointing out all the rocks that had unique shapes. For instance, We found one that looks like a polar bear! Dont hike alone if possible, we got an encounter with a coyote and got lucky it wasnt with the pack *nervous laugh* It is very cold at night, so I recommend to bundle up! :)

There was a large party at campsite 18 on the evening of dec 2nd. They were very loud from dusk to dawn. That made it difficult to enjoy the evening. Otherwise the stay was pleasant.

There’s no park ranger patrolling around this campsite. It’s not like a regular campground where you check in. Also, be aware of bees. There are swarms of bees hanging around the campground and the vaulted toilet. There’s no shade so I’d highly recommend bringing a canopy. Overall, it’s a beautiful campsite.

It was cold and chilly at night. Make sure to bring warm gear, sleeping bags, gloves. It was such a cool spot, you can climb the rocks see the beautiful sky and different forms of rocks. I enjoyed my time at Jumbo rocks on my birthday.
