Quiet and secluded. It was just as expected.

We loved staying here. The campground is nice, secluded feeling, and accessible. We came out to see the stars and enjoy some open space after losing a family member. Unfortunately, and this isnt the fault of the campground, we had a group of very oblivious and disruptive people next to us that arrived at their campsite at 10 and played loud music and were shouting until we confronted them at 2am. They apologized, but it was really not fun. Maybe this means a camp host should be making rounds in the evening to ensure people are abiding by quiet hours. That level of disruption made it impossible to sleep and brought the trip down a lot. This isnt something that happens all the time and the only thing the campground can do is encourage courtesy and etiquette, and like I said maybe establish a few quiet hours walk arounds. Joshua tree and this campground are awesome, and it seems more awareness is needed in the discussion to all who recreate about the respect for others enjoying the park.

Very beautiful place. Surprisingly clean spaces and bathrooms. But the coyote sightings at night made it uncomfortable. Great during the day tho.

We had a magical time once again in Joshua Tree. Sure it was a bit windy, but you know the adage... No such thing as bad weather, just bad gear. It was spring time so what do you expect. Days were warm, nights were cool and the fire was perfect. Bathrooms were impeccably clean sanitation was on point! Site 15 is a gem and will be back again. Jumbo Rocks has been a favorite for years!

The ground is hard. Its really hard to fix my tent on the ground with rivets. Chrismas night was very windy. I final given up the tent and slept in my car. Some spots might be less windy because of large rocks around.

Beautiful location, all the sites are between rocks. It was busy but still felt private! Best campground in a national park!

You can't go wrong with Joshua Tree. Camped at Jumbo Rock, it's always clean, restrooms are clean, filled with plenty of TP. All the rocks make it a fun place to camp with all the rocks to climb on.

This campground is laid out well with trails that start in the camp. No water. Must refill at the ranger station. Pit toilet was clean. Would stay again. Beautiful!

Jumbo Rocks Campsites are too crowded and unclear where to camp vs what is a pathway to other sites. Especially at #4 i think it was for our site. people were loud and walking through what seemed to be our site

The park should space out the sights more, there is plenty of land... we don't come out to the wilds to listen to someones party next door or be 20' away from them coughing and wheezing all night.

Should be more signage or something about which area is for which site.

I recommend other campgrounds that are less crowded if you want any peace and quiet.

The camp site was clean. I stayed at the site 15. It had fire pit and picnic table. The camp site was quiet and it was surrounded by rocks as the name suggests. I will visit here again.

Jumbo Rocks is an incredible campground. I was worried it would be too noisy or busy, but our campsite was really private, and it seems most folks here go to bed early. If you don't mind carrying your stuff a few more yards from the car in service of privacy, this is a great spot. I really loved how it was easy access to some great trails (Skull Rock, Discovery Trail, Split Rock Loop), and easy to climb up on the rocks whenever you wanted a great view.

Tranquil, beautiful, with clean facilities. The rocks provide some shelter from wind along with privacy, and everything glows with at sunset and sunrise and by the light of the campfire.

Not your fault or the fault of the campground, but the wind/weather was unbearably bad so I had to leave. But almost as bad was the spot I was in was right next to a restroom and on the other side were loud young people. Staying at Jumbo Rocks has been on my bucket list for many years, so this all was a big disappointment to me. Im a single 80 year old woman. Dont know if Ill make it here again.

The Jumbo Rocks campground was incredible. True magic. The campgrounds were impeccably maintained, the park staff super friendly and helpful, and the setting was better than I could’ve imagined. So glad we stayed here.

Joshua Tree is incredibly beautiful and expansive, combine that with a super tidy and well maintained campsite with helpful and respectful staff and neighbors, and its easy to forget youre in the midst of a pandemic in winter in a completely full campsite. We loved it!
