Go at the right time of the year and the weather is perfect. Hiked a little over 17 miles in 3 days. Lost Horse loop trail was my favorite. Campsite we had in Jumbo Rocks was private and quiet. Toilets (vault) were kept clean. The views and geology were spectacular. Will return.

Camp site is nice, but its right next to the main road and has another site behind it. Other people kept walking through our camp site to get to their camp site. Overall the site was well maintained and easy to access. I would recommend it as long as privacy is not important.

No water at Campgrounds but knowing that going in it's an amazing site. Right next to some rocks that you can climb with a nice little tree to shade during the day. Most sites are great but this was one of the best ones.

We stayed at Jombo Rock campsite, as always it was delightful. We experienced the rain so it was a bit more work, but overall it didn't make a dent in our trip. The campsite was quiet and very enjoyable.

Stayed in campsite #12 at Jumbo Rocks, which was very spacious especially compared to some of the other sites we saw. There's a trail nearby that goes directly to Skull Rock, lots of boulders to feel adventurous walking around on, and a nice view of the sky at night. One side of the horizon didn't feel like it ever got completely dark, probably lights from 29 Palms, but overall nice views. Campsite had a picnic table conveniently next to the fire pit, and was close to the bathroom which you could smell occasionally and would probably smell a lot worse during summer. Bathroom was very clean though.

I love camping in Joshua Tree, and Jumbo Rocks is one of the best campgrounds in my opinion. There are quite a few campsites that offer quite a bit of privacy if you take the time to look at the surrounding area (I use Google Earth to get really good views). If you're into rock climbing, early October is starting to cool down a bit, and just before the winter climbing season starts.

Great camping spot. Trash pick up and great fire pit provided a great spot. The camp ground was quiet and clean. Trails were nice and marked well.

Clean, pleasant campsite with adequate space between our site and others in the area. Restrooms were reasonably nearby and were kept clean. Naturally, Joshua Tree National Park is a delight. Lots to see and lots of history there. We were really lucky to get near perfect weather.

I love Joshua Tree and camping at Jumbo Rocks is very convenient because it is the closest to most of the cool spots in the park. There is a griller, a toilet nearby and a firepit. It is only very good because the desert can get very windy and freezing in the winter and you have 0 reception to check the wind and weather advisory. I recommend having a campervan instead of a tent because you can sleep better knowing the wind wont destroy your tent. Or maybe the desert in the winter camping are for experts. Camping in the summer with winds destroyed my other tent thats why I have this fear of getting my new tent wrecked.

The light on the rocks in the morning is beautiful! It is centrally located in the park which is excellent. Clean and had a grill which was nice.
