What a cool place to stay!! Love being among the rocks. Pretty tight campsites but still really lovely

Unfortunately, there was another family in our campsite. We had to sleep in our car while they enjoyed their Pabst Blue Ribbons and roaring fireplace. They did not offer to move to their actual site (we were site 10 and they were supposed to be 110). There should be a proper check-in/monitoring system to prevent this.

An amusement park for a giant kid like me. Easy climbing, hiking trails, flat rocks to lay on and stare up at the sky. Safe, friendly, clean, easy to get to day or night. I will be back!

Such an unexpected scenery. Kind of how Dr. Suess would draw rocks. Fun areas to hike around Jumbo Rocks. Great stargazing when the moon is down. Staff is super friendly.

Awesome spot with great views of surrounding landscape. Bathrooms are maintained and the sites are clean and surrounded by desert plants. would stay here again!

Sites are distributed along a road that parallels the rock formations. There is a very popular short hiking trail that follows the campground road for a bit and so there were loads of day hikers passing our site (and trying to park in spaces for campers). There are a couple of side loops off the main road and those sites would be the ones to reserve to avoid being in the middle of the flow of hikers all day. That said, the sites were well equipped and pretty flat for tents. Pit toilets were well maintained.

Wonderful well defined spaces, privacy and very clean. The hosts did a great job when there was a glitch with the size of our camper and the space allocated. It all worked out and they were so helpful and friendly!

Great place to camp, clean restrooms and campground, been camping here since I was a kid back in 1986. Such great memories from the past and now with my own kids. Don’t forget to listen to U2 The Joshua Tree when camping in this beautiful national park.

I cannot imagine a better camping experience. The scenery is just incredible. Our site (#10) was private other than the one right next to us and we were backed up against a whole jumbo rock backyard. The kids (and parents) were in heaven.
