Excellent park. My only critique would be have the volunteers focus on picking up trash under the bushes. There is quite a bit throughout the park. Otherwise, the place is amazing and looks great.

Clean and spacious area. Enjoyed the feeling of being out so far even with camp Nieghbors you still feel isolated.

Easy to find our site (09) is close to the toilet great easy hike from the campground to Skull Rock (about 1.5 miles roundtrip.)

I stayed at site 9 and it had clean bathroom, rocks around to climb but small campsites and they are very close to each other. I recommend to book sites further from the entrance because you will see all the time tourists coming in and having picnics during the day Entrance needs to have control point to keep the tourists away and give some privacy to the campers

It is a very small site butting against a rock and felt like a walkway to the site behind us. There is zero privacy, inches away from #8"s parking space. Don't recommend if you are planning to spend any time at camp.

The campsite needs some TLC I picked up quite a lot of micro litter and the bathrooms need a substantial washing to get them clean again!

Excellent site, amazing hikes and views. The wind was a bit much in the mornings making coffee, but that is why we get outside!

Jumbo Rocks was outstanding and our hike at Willow Hole was breathtaking! Joshua Tree is one of the best National Parks Ive ever been to.

Really nice campground at a convenient location that is close to the Skull Rock, Split Rock and main road to many other attractions in the Joshua Tree National Park. There are rock formations right at the campground that you can just hike up to and entrances to the Skull Rock trail inside the campground that you can just walk to. We have campsite #9 that is very small but there's enough space to put 3-4 small tents. It comes with only one parking space but is conveniently located close to the toilet, which is across the road. There is an accessible campsite right next to that bathroom should anyone need it. There is also another bathroom down the road within short distance. No water at the campground. Garbage dumsters and recycle at the entrance.

I arrived after dark and the campsite was easy to locate. The bathroom was super clean! No flies on an October day.Great drive on the way to the campsite, and great drive on the way out. Its close to where the ecosystems switch which is neat.

The area is awesome with so many areas to boulder, hike, etc. the actual camping was disappointing. Our site #9 was so small there was not any room for a tent unless you went towards the back and closer to the next campsite. Fortunately we were in a van anyway so it worked for us. We drive around to check other sites for a future trip, but noticed that most campsites were very close to each other and did not offer any privacy. Also, the motor homes and large trailers have to park on the road as they are too large to park in most parking stalls. It’s very different from most parks I’ve been to. Tent camping is ok and you can find some more secluded sites but for vans or motor homes you are limited. I’ll check out some other campgrounds within Joshua Tree.

Beautiful scenery at this campground and convenient to park highlights and town. Campsites too close together and the single woman next to us built a massive fire and smoked up our tent. Pit toilet not clean. We moved to the Cottonwood Campground the next night and found it much more pleasant. The birdwatching was better too!
