We had another wonderful experience! Thank you so much to the Rangers and volunteers that make it possible for us to enjoy this magical place!

Easy to find our site (09) is close to the toilet great easy hike from the campground to Skull Rock (about 1.5 miles roundtrip.)

I stayed at site 9 and it had clean bathroom, rocks around to climb but small campsites and they are very close to each other. I recommend to book sites further from the entrance because you will see all the time tourists coming in and having picnics during the day Entrance needs to have control point to keep the tourists away and give some privacy to the campers

It is a very small site butting against a rock and felt like a walkway to the site behind us. There is zero privacy, inches away from #8"s parking space. Don't recommend if you are planning to spend any time at camp.

The campsite needs some TLC I picked up quite a lot of micro litter and the bathrooms need a substantial washing to get them clean again!

Really fun, huge rocks that help to separate sites. Fun stay.

The area is awesome with so many areas to boulder, hike, etc. the actual camping was disappointing. Our site #9 was so small there was not any room for a tent unless you went towards the back and closer to the next campsite. Fortunately we were in a van anyway so it worked for us. We drive around to check other sites for a future trip, but noticed that most campsites were very close to each other and did not offer any privacy. Also, the motor homes and large trailers have to park on the road as they are too large to park in most parking stalls. It’s very different from most parks I’ve been to. Tent camping is ok and you can find some more secluded sites but for vans or motor homes you are limited. I’ll check out some other campgrounds within Joshua Tree.

I enjoyed myself very much. The scenery is spectacular. I will return again.

Beautiful scenery at this campground and convenient to park highlights and town. Campsites too close together and the single woman next to us built a massive fire and smoked up our tent. Pit toilet not clean. We moved to the Cottonwood Campground the next night and found it much more pleasant. The birdwatching was better too!
