We loved our campsite, it backed up against an area of the rocks where we could wake up and immediately start scrambling. Even with the close proximity to other sites we still had decent privacy with the bushes and trees. Toilet was clean and barely smelly and fully stocked with TP. I dont know if it was just the weather we had or how the rocks are laid out, but things got super super windy at our campground and made it sooo difficult to start a fire or heat up charcoal. The camper next to us had his tent shredded by the wind as well. All in all, great campsite and so easy to hike to Skull Rock.

I really dont get people bringing newborn babies to camp. They didnt clean up after themselves and their trash ended up all over my site with no care at all. The children cried and screamed all day. It sucked.

We stayed at campsite 008 in the Jumbo Rock campground. The site is a very good site, situated across the street from one of the restrooms, it has penty of parking and large rocks around the site. The campgound is in close proximity to several trails with direct access to the Discovery Trail, the Skull Rock Trail Nature trail, the Face Rock Trail and the Split Rock Trail. Bring water, there is no water supply in the campground. The campsites in this area of Jumbo Rocks are on the smaller size and in some cases are in close proximity to the other campsite; however, they are very desirable sites.

Joshua Tree is a wonderful place to visit . If you are travelling without a fixed itinerary the reservation system is unfortunate. On our visit the campground entrance said FULL every night, and every night there were many empty campsites.

Such a beautiful campground, we walked around the campground and it seems like every spot is great! There is also a trail to Skull Rock that starts further back in the campground which was awesome. FYI: There are no sinks in the bathrooms or water available that we saw so bring your own!

Beautiful camping spot. It was so private with such amazing views. Super easy to find, no cell service but that was perfect for me!!

entering the park, signs were up that campgroundS were full, NONE were full Jumbo was maybe 1/3 full the others had less than 5 sites full ! Recreation.gov has the responsibility to ensure any reserved site that has a no-show the first night the site should show OPEN so other campers can utilize the sites. What a waste !!

Great spot! Helpful volunteers! Pretty place! Wish there was firewood available at the camp instead of having to go to town. Poor foresight on our parts but still!

Clean and well cared for. Truly a beautiful campground and now one of my favorites. What a special place. Will definitely be back.

Camping spots are right on top of each other with tons of every people. There was a group of a dozen underage teenagers blasting their music at full volume past 2 am, drinking, and trashing the place. Absolutely no park ranger enforcing quiet hours or any information on how to reach a campsite host. We ended up leaving at 3 am and abandoning the rest of our trip. Horrible horrible campground. Do not get campsite 8. It’s also near the entrance so everyone’s headlights shine on your site and you are right on the main road. Such a waste of money

Clean sites and bathroom facilities; a bit of confusion using recreation.gov. Weekends were listed as “FF,” even after they were reserved. JTNP staff checked sites daily and offered support and clear explanations for questions, suggestions.

Beautiful campground, lots of space and great hiking trails right out of the campground! The nature trail signage was some of the best I have seen! THANK-YOU!

Amazing views, beautiful campground! The only issue was no running toilet or water. Otherwise amazing :)
