So quiet! My kids loved climbing on the huge rocks and we enjoyed the peaceful setting.

We were not able to back into our site and having our vehicle close to the table. Otherwise, the site was great!

Amazing place to get away. No cell
Phone signals, so you’re forced to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of your work life. Be aware that many of the campsites are fairly small, so calculate your tent foot print accordingly. Otherwise, enjoy the clean high desert air and crisp night sky!

Nice campground in the heart of JTNP. Site 2 was pretty busy with traffic in and out all day in the form of hikers doing the Skull Rock loop, vehicular traffic looking for restrooms, campers coming and going, and campground looky-loos. Love the rocks surrounding this site, but campers in site 2 need to be prepared for people being constantly around during the day. If it’s available during high season though, sometimes you have to accept the people with the Park to truly enjoy its nighttime beauty. Would stay in Site 2 again but would look for other sites first. We were in here with a 17’ travel trailer and tow vehicle and fit fine within the parking lines. There is a dumpster at the east end of the site that cannot be blocked, so keep that in mind for how one might fit.

our experience was awesome the size of our site was fitting. my only downfall was many visitors were all in our camp site throughout day.
the accommodations of friendly campers , rangers assisted us whenever had an questions.

Our site (2) felt very secluded and was back among the rocks. Even with the campground being busy, we felt like we were the only ones here! We had absolutely stunning views of the stars at night. The only downside to this site was the night winds were 25mph+ it was like a wind tunnel. Made it quite fun to take down our tents the next morning! I’ll definitely be back. Beautiful park and clean, well-maintained campsite.

Also, we had no cell service, which is what we prefer. Just a heads up to those who enjoy sites with service. My satellite phone and my wifi in my truck still worked well though!

This area is so amazing. Our site 002 is really special. Very enjoyable. We did not understand the reason RVs over 25 feet won't fit. An explanation that most camp sites that aren't back in (car size) are pulled off and parallel to the side of the road and many times there isn't space for a slide or especially a large RV. If trail information is not going to be made available in Visitor Centers, we need to know that BEFORE we get into the park where there is NO service. to access information on line.

My husband and I began our Roadtrip with our kids at Jumbo Rocks. It is now our favorite desert camp spot. Let’s just say the rocks inspired me to wake up for sunrise, for the first time( not a morning person at all) to capture the prettiest pics and special moments with my husband. I can’t wait to camp here again!

A beautiful spot filled with unreal beauty. A few lost souls left a bit of trash, etc. but, mostly, the fellow travelers were great.
