The weather was pretty bad, but thats not your fault. We camp in a van and when we left for the day we left our levelers and chocks. Someone stole them while we were gone. Also, not your fault, but really disappointing. I think its unfortunate that a hiking trail goes right down the main road. We were very close to the entrance, so there were a lot of people walking by ALL DAY. The park is beautiful but this wasnt one of our favorite National Park campgrounds

This campground is heavily trafficked on the weekends due to a trail from Skull Rock nearby routing through the main road. We had several hikers cut through our campsite during the day unexpectedly due to proximity to the trail route. Camp host wasn't seen all weekend, though someone did verify campers were in the registered sites. Most sites were maxed out or overfull in allowable people. The rocks gave plenty of shade which is great in summer, but in winter meant that solar panels were less effective. Wildlife was abundant Friday and Saturday, by Sunday they had gone to ground due to the influx of visitors.

Really enjoy the beauty of Joshua Tree Jumbo Rocks campground, and will return. However, it is important to check for wind advisories out that way. Got caught in high winds overnight in my small tent. Although it was beautiful to see the sunrise because I hardly slept a wink, I would probably try a different place in the Park next time to avoid so much wind.

Lots of shade in campsite #1. Beautiful rock formations. Easy hikes

I loved my stay here! You feel very safe and secure because of alle the big rocks around you. I definetly recommend to bring some chairs and watch the Nightsky, I couldnt believe how breathtaking it is. You dont really have cellphone service but there is a sign at the entrance that tells you, so no surprises there. The individual campsites are very well placed on the campground, sadly i wasnt able to back in to mine. I absolutely recommend this campground if you want to get out of the city and enjoy beautiful nature and wildlife.. if youre lucky you might ser some turtles.

Beautiful area as always… loved the campsite! The bathrooms could’ve been a little cleaner, but overall a great experience! We noticed that there were several sites open even though online, it says they are fully booked. That was disappointing because we’d love to come back! It’s difficult to get a reservation online if it says fully booked but in reality there are sites available.
