Located next to the trail, super convenient for hiking. Bathrooms were spotless (bring a light for the night time!) and the campgrounds were lovely.

Bathrooms are very clean! Thank you for keeping them that way. It is far away from most of the hiking, but its a fine campground.

My boyfriend and I have camped here quite a few times and love it each time! We always get a spot that we like and enjoy just being outside together.

Nice, clean and safe campground. Easy access to hikes and visitor's center. Warm water and showers would have been a nice part of the trip.

A beautiful, pristine, quiet campground, with wide open landscape, dark night sky, and nice trails. I found the arrangement of the picnic tables and fire pits, however, to be a strange chaotic mess with no apparent sense of order or attention to aesthetic placement. For example, many of the picnic tables and/or fire pits were placed 3-4 feet from the road, right where you park your car or RV, while there were plenty of other options set away from the road. I walked both Loop A and Loop B and with few exceptions, this was true for the majority of the campsites. A much more pleasing arrangement would be easy to accomplish. I wish the Park Service would look into this. Nice enough for a stopover, but for longer stays at the campground, this would enhance the experience GREATLY.

Some of the spots were very small.

Great location for stargazing. Everything looked well maintained and we really liked our specific campsite location.

Only stayed one night, but the facilities were nice. There is no shade so if staying for an extended period bring an awning. Would stay here again.

The surrounding desert is nice and it is close to the Cottonwood Visiter Center. The campground has no solid earth (boulders, hills, etc) between sites so it is very noisy. Sounds carry easily so I listened to all my neighbors’ conversations as I lay in my tent at night. Generators were running at every allotted time. Lots of lights at night too. Only one toilet for men in each loop. It is an okay place to sleep but plan on spending all of your day elsewhere and if you want real dark you’ll have to leave the campground. The park in general is excellent!

Wasn’t expecting so much light pollution from the Palm Springs area to reach us, but we were able to make out the faint Milky Way.
Also, watch out for cacti near your vehicle/sleeping area.
