The campsite was great! Nice to have water and bathrooms. They were kept clean. Would come back again!! Great place to see all the stars. Sites were great size and pretty level!

The campground is well maintained with bear trash receptacles and nice rest rooms. It was quiet at night with friendly campers. We stopped at the visitor center with questions and they were friendly and helpful. You can hike right from the campground and the sunset view was spectacular.

Great campsite, however it is in the extreme south part of the park, approximately 35 miles away from the major attractions in the north. There are several campgrounds in the park that are first come first served that dont appear on recreation.gov.

Really enjoyed this campground. Stargazing was great here but just note that it's a bit far from the main areas of the park.

Wonderful small-ish campground. Quiet, clean. Water, garbage pickup. Small but interesting visitors center nearby.

Nice, well groomed campground. Sites are generally spacious, though for a travel trailer the odd numbered sites are wide spots in the road and not back in.With many trailers now having roadside slides, most of these sites present safety hazards for RVs with slides. Even numbered sites are all backins and most are double wide so a trailer and tow vehicle can park.

Cottonwood is VERY far from the main attractions of Joshua Tree, I probably would not stay here again. Neighbors were also loud, but campground was fine.

Nice desert campground. Plenty of room at the site, enough plant life to maintain privacy.

Very clean and quiet when we were there. Incredible star gazing! The site for an RV is really shared with the road and not truely a site you pull into. We could not put our slide out for fear that it would interfere with passing cars. Overall, a really good stay.

We lived stargazing and hiking! We’ll be back!
