A beautiful place to camp.

We stayed one night at this campground. Our site was clean and had enough room for our RV. Dump station nearby. Great campground.

Was an excellent campsite. There was enough shrubbery around of significant size that the site felt somewhat private even during Easter week with every site packed. The facilities were especially nice and well kept with running water and plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again. It was remote but has excellent access to a few significant and stunning trails.

With so many people around and noise during the day, we were surprised how quiet it was at night. We did get approached by the Park Rangers, some of our campers were out in the "wilderness area", which I appreciated the notification. I do think some signage, like small carsonite signs would be helpful for that purpose. Otherwise, great campground, clean bathrooms, campsites spread out pretty well!

We loved our experience at Cottonwood Campground! The campground and bathrooms were super clean. Better yet, the stars were amazing. You can access the trail to the Lost Palms Oasis from within the campground. So much to do and see in this area.

A little cramped and far from major hikes.

One of the worst car camping experiences. Super loud, and campsite close together.

Very clean campsites with toilets & water available!

Nice campground, but a bit of a distance from some of the park features. Many of the sites are just narrow pullouts and can be a challenge for slideouts.

The sites are very well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and am already planning for our next visit.

Nice dry camping campground. Only down side was we didn’t have enough space to put our slide out.

Had to drive 60 mi round trip from this campground to see a Joshua Tree! The park is all in a small area in the NW corner and is a long way from this campground. If your purpose is to come to Joshua Tree NP we don’t recommend staying at Cottonwood but one of the others that are where the action is.

We used the campsite as an overnight stay on way to Tucson from Santa Barbara. Was a nice site.

Great area for night time star gazing. Very calming. This time of year the weather was perfect-mid 70s to mid 80s.
I will go back.

the camp sites were very small. we simply pulled off on the side of the road. our slide was close to the road. all cars/trucks/RVs driving around the campground drove slowly and did not get too close but it was a bit nerve racking.

The place was spacious! Gets so beautiful at night star gazing. Restrooms nearby highly recommend it!

Please consider better signage in the campground. There was not a sign facing the main campground road for Loop A and we went right past it. Yes, it was easy to get through Loop B and then turn into Loop A but we shouldn't have to do that.

I drove 3 hours only to get to a double booked campsite.
