Had a blast at this campsite! At first, I thought it might be a letdown since it was the last one available, but it turned out to be even better than expected. It was conveniently located near a spigot water source and not too far from the bathrooms. We easily set up three spacious tents, making for a great experience.

The facility has everything a camper needs but there are some limitations. I do not recommend the pull through sites because they have a slight slope and are not comfortably wide if you have a slide out on the drivers side.

quiet, uncrowded campground, mostly closed for winter. Many sites are fully shaded, and it would be quite beautiful in summer. Restrooms were very clean, though the lack of showers was disappointing. It is next to the motel and restaurant; food at the restaurant was good, and it was open despite it being just before a holiday.

Don't expect it to be quiet during quiet hours!

Tried to reserve same camp site for two more days. Couldn’t the site remained empty for the next two days

Seeing the Stars in the dark of night in a cloudless sky was Amazing!
The campground was clean and the camp hosts were great. This was our second visit to Cottonwood, only this time it was in a tent not a Motorhome. It got a little chilly (but it was March) yet we did ok, especially the second night after buying a stocking cap at the visitor’s center. It was fun finding beauty in the desert.
