Was exactly as described. Added bonus was the mastodon (sic) walk just at back door

This site would have gotten five stars but there were several guests who didnt understand how to abide by the generator use hours.

The trash cans were overflowing, but everything else was wonderful.

Family-friendly campsite. Well maintained. Big enough for 2-3 2-person tents and only a 15min drive to the I-10 highway. There's flushing toilet and sink. The best part is they keep a bottle of hand soap there for people to use. Very thoughtful!

Some sites are too narrow for slide outs.

We really like Cottonwood Campground because its quiet and less crowded than the other campgrounds in Joshua Tree NP, but close enough to enjoy the entire park. Plus it takes reservations, which we need with our 25 trailer.

Great location in the heart of Joshua Tree national park . If you want to be out in the middle of nowhere then this is for you. Great price too

Nice park, clean, great location for hiking, nice people!
Great campground in Joshua National Park. Tenters beware. Generators are allowed so the noise can be annoying at times. Bathrooms were clean. Views were beautiful.

Five stars is for clean camping spot. Five stars for wonderful star filled skies. Wasn’t so happy with other campers. RV running generator all night and other group very loud with flashlights they kept shining on other camp spots.
Nice campground but very tight for large vehicles. The pull through sites do not allow for slide-outs to be extended on the drivers side, back-in sites do, but, can be tough to get into if a large vehicle is in the pull though site across from it. but all this is contained in the site descriptions, so, be sure to read for the site you want to stay in. Well suited for smaller vehicles and good tent sites. Good facilities, great hiking base location.

Great location to the explore the park. Close to the visitors center to get information. Appreciated the clean bathrooms that had soap and the quiet peaceful campground! Definitely review the site length to make sure your rig will fit as the sites are all different.

Sites at this campground are smaller than average and pads are not level. A truck and trailer with slide don't fit in most of the pull throughs. Restrooms are small, especially where socially distancing is required. Need a trail from the campground to the visitor center. Dump station is decent, but weird set up for putting water in RV tank.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
