Great campground that is away from the attractions that are more within the park. Quiet place to see the starts

This is a very tight campground and this site (A02) in particular has very little usable space. The amenities at the campground otherwise are as advertised.

Great place. There is water at the dump station. RVlife and many reviews seem to be confused about it.

Cottonwood was great except for the size of the site with take some work to get into but all in all it was worth it. The weather was not the best but that as nothing to do with the campground were the facilities are good and clean.

I enjoyed my stay very much, the location is beautifully located with lovely desert all around. I took log walks out into the desert enjoying the plants, rocks and solitude. I would have liked one of the campsites a bit farther out but selection was limited due to the holidays.

A great campground, close to Interstate 10. I use Cottonwood as a stop to and from LA to Texas

Very clean and easy place to camp. There is water with flushing bathrooms and sinks. Totally felt spoiled here when it comes to camping. It was a quiet and peaceful place. Would definitely go again.

Enjoyed camping in site A02. Flat site, fairly private. Near restroom. Good hiking trail from the campground.

Nice quiet evening spend in the campground. Enjoyed a small campfire and viewing the night sky. No light pollution so star gazing was excellent.
What used to be a quiet campground that was great for stargazing and experiencing the serenity of desert nights has been overrun with lights, bonfires, noisy crowds, and parties that extend past midnight. It’s great that more people are experiencing our national parks, but the ethos, serenity, and dark skies of JT has been lost.
For my own personal taste, wat too many people and WAY TOO LOUD! Also for a camp that size I would definitely expand the restroom facilities

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
