Lovely

Very good campground. Just some limited space for bigger tents and the coyotes can be loud at night. But overall a great experience.

It was a lovely campground and the rangers were very nice.

A bit far from the rest of the park, but nice spot!

Beautiful, clean campsite. Be mindful of the coyotes and the heat. Soap in the bathroom would be nice.It would also be helpful if rangers did some passes in the night. There was a rowdy group and another group with a fire even though fires were banned.

Beautiful park. Sites could be upgraded and enlarged at some point, but I understand that it was developed long before RV's were the sizes that they are now.

Wonderful location to tent camp. The drive around Joshua Tree National Park was amazing! Loved the exhibit/informational pull offs. Loved that you could walk marked trails or just sit back from your vehicle and see the beautiful scenery.

Calm quiet campsite away from all the crowds in the northern part of the park. Site is big enough for 3 tents. Fantastic stargazing opportunity. Lost oasis hike is nearby and a great hike within the park.

Very clean campsite

Campground was awesome. Noisy campers in other space with no ranger to enforce made it a sleepless night

Nice campground with clean flushable toilets

Sites are large and the restrooms are kept very clean. Hiking near the campground.

A "true" getaway. No internet, cellphone, tv, radio - absolutely no contact with the outside world. Stayed 8 days "off the grid" and loved it.

Peaceful spot, nice hike up to Mastodon Peak on a beautiful day.

The campground is nice but the road is really really unleveled despite us using all of our leveling blocks.

We are in a 25-foot class B+ motor home and didn't take the warning that we would not fit seriously. The rangers were very nice and found us a site we could use and not be hanging out it the road. Glad we planned a night there. I wish for a more elaborate explanation about why RVs with slides would not fit. Thanks

Really good place specially because you have running water.

Clean campsite. Beautiful scenery. Rangers came around to check on things. Strict guidelines in running generators but that’s ok. I would go back and stay again.

Our campsite as well as the amenities were great. Clean restrooms and nearby water source made camping and cooking easy. Mother Nature was not quite as cooperative and the weather was windy and air quality was not as good as we might have expected as a result.
All in all it was great, and although we left a day early, we enjoyed our time and we will be back again next spring.

I selected a site that was supposed to fit my truck and trailer. I found that the site was actually on the generous side and it was easy to maneuver into the site. The camp site was also generous and more privacy from other campers than expected.

This was a good campground. It had pretty views and was in a nice area. The hiking trails were very nice and there were lots of cool places to go to in the area of the campground. There is only one toilet in the men’s bathroom and it gets busy in the morning. At night you can sometimes hear coyotes howling and there is lots of wildlife around the campground. Going to Cottonwood Campground was a fun experience that I would do again.

Nice. Calm. Fire pit/grill combo. Park bench. Open landscape. Very calm and personal. Very nice park rangers. Would recommend for a getaway.

Lots of (what I assume are) cactus pricks all over the campground. My poor two year old was wearing a onesie and was walking aboud the campground and got hit feet pricked what I can only sun as hundreds of little pricks.

The directions to get there are horrible and the staff do not answer the phone when you’re lost and trying to get directions.
