We enjoyed staying here. Flushing toilets (but they were never cleaned during the three days we were there, and there was obvious poop on the floor in one stall out of three). Amazingly the bathrooms smelled good (?) and had sinks as well but no soap. We were tent camping and we had only tents around us. I was worried about hearing generators but there were none. We got to chat with the other campers and they were cool. It was 30 min drive to Joshua Tree. It was colder than expected, brought extra sleeping bags and blankets and used them all. Two days were windy and one was perfect. The little camp store had cute stickers and nice paintings. The spot was a nice size, we had a big 6 person tent, a one person tent, a truck and a forerunner (5 people) and had plenty of room. Fire ring and picnic table were nice. If I had it to do over again, Id try for a spot in the rocks like Jumbo Rocks because of persistent wind. Got the spot using Hip Camp alerts.

Enjoyed the campground. Bathrooms were clean. However, rain caused my campsite to erode and caused a trench that had to be crossed to park. Also, blonde female camphost presented racist behavior.

Although there was nothing wrong with the camp site itself, I hadn't realized how insanely close the camp site was to people's houses in a neighborhood bordering the park. I didn't feel like I was really in nature and actually ended up leaving to get an open site elsewhere in the park that night. Warning to others if you are going to camp here: this is NOT a very remote location, it has full cell service and everything. If that is your ideal, then by all means book these sites. The individual sites themselves seem perfectly decent, with nearby Joshua trees in view

Though it can get windy, the campground is well-appointed with nice-sized sites, great hiking nearby, and friendly hosts!
