I visited mid-week in early February, and the campground was lovely with blue skies, Joshua trees, and a variety of birds (including a Roadrunner!) The staff were very friendly, and the campground and restrooms were well-maintained. The days were warm and the cooler nights were perfect for campfires in the firepit.

Too windy, left the second night... bathrooms were clean.

the campground is great, perfect location for hikes in Joshua Tree, very easy access. Maybe we were unlucky but there were many noisy campers, with music and shouting all night long.

Although the campground roads were rough, it was easy to get into the site. It's proximity to a bathroom was great and there was plenty of shade during the mornings and evenings. Overall an excellent tent camping spot.

Large campsite for bigger size tents. The only downside about this site is there's not much covering from the wind, so if it's going to be a windy night, you will feel it in your tent.

Spot 70 at Blackrock was a great location for tent camping. The spot includes the classic fire ring and picnic table along with some trees that gave great cover feom the wind and people. Will definitely be coming back to this spot again.

Clean bathrooms. Easy to find. Good cell service if you need to stay connected. Plenty of space between camp sites.

We drove in around 7PM and had no issues getting to the campsite. We called ahead and let them know we were arriving late(ish) bc I was afraid there would be a gate or something -- but no issues at all. The daytime was brisk but a nice 60-63 degrees, over night was coooold 37 but we were fine by the campfire and then bundled up in the tent/blankets/beanies/etc. Nice drive into the town for everything (Groc Out!!!) you need and then into JT Nat Park. It felt a little like luxury camping as we went out to lunch and got some food to heat up over the fire for dinner. Only needed the cooler for drinks and breakfast items! Long drive from the Bay Area but happy we made the trip, would recommend to others.

Very spacious campsite. The hosts were very nice. The bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again. Just be careful if youre pulling into the site at night, its very hard to see the road.

The quality of the camp ground was good. The bathroom nearest to my site (70) was clean and surprisingly big. The roads around them are in pretty poor condition so just be aware for any vehicles you may be bringing in. Only downside was the weather, it was very windy and there really isn't much in the way of tree coverage to help break it up.

Great campsite, close to hiking trails, clean bathrooms, and supply drinking water, but close to civilization.

Ranger at the nature center was not very friendly, although they did have lots of trail maps and useful flyers in front. Bathroom was fairly clean, so no complaints there.

This was an excellent camp ground among mature Joshua Trees and close to several great trails. Our only disappointment was that the nature center listed is not a nature center, but an art gallery.

This is a crowded campground with very little space per campsite. If you want to experience a beautiful, somewhat wild space with some peace and quiet , I’d recommend choosing another campground near or within Joshua Tree.

Site was clean. Easy to navigate around. Close proximity to bathroom, trash, and water but still had a lot of privacy. Neighbors were quiet and super nice. The stars were amazingly bright at night. Only draw back is the crazy strong winds late afternoon to evening. But they died down at night. Very welcoming hosts came by to check in on us and remind us to be mindful of the fire and noise. Bathroom was clean. Site is well maintained. Hiking trails easily accessible. Overall, we had a great time! Looking forward to making more reservations!

What a great campground. Extremely clean and the restrooms were always kept immaculate. Had a few hiccups with the location placements of our tents, but staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back again!

The campsite was well spaced from other campsites. The bathrooms were clean. The staff on the desk for check in was very helpful with hiking suggestions. We hiked Warren Peak and the Panorama Trail. It was clear enough to see the Salton Sea in the distance. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come again.

The scenery is amazing, and the campground is beautiful, but the other people there were downright rude and disrespectful of the campground and fellow campers. They were blasting music until about 3am, walking through our campsite, and shouting. It was so bad we left after one day. There needs to be more ranger patrols at night and/or more oversight by the camp attendant.
