Restrooms were clean. There was water and trash containers around the campsite. Site wasn't level but still manageable in a tent. It's a really big spot. The nature center is cool.

This campground must be a joke. Or rather, the fact that its being renovated is. Its in such a state of disrepair that it borders on years of neglect. To add insult to injury most lots are angled in a way that yo cant tent camp there properly. In stead of paying for this campground yo ought to be compensated to stay here.

My family and I wanted to go and see if we could get any pictures of the stars. Although we were dismayed about our location at first (since the area was relatively close to the town of Yucca Valley and thus brighter in general), we were able to see a bit of the Milky Way with our naked eyes and a *lot* of stars, so a good experience there. The campsite was very clean (as far as they go)! We expected the restroom to be a very simple restroom that wasn't maintained very often (like a porta potty), but it was actually a full-on restroom that was well-maintained and clean throughout the stay. There were also lots of nearby trails that we could go; the trails themselves were cool since there were many loops, meaning you could hike far (10+ miles) or close (<4 miles). Many of the trails right by the camping areas were pretty easy a few of them were moderate in difficulty and those were the ones that involved going up a mountain. I strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the surrounding area.

Big campground with tightly packed campsites, though great that there are a lot to allow for more people to enjoy the park. Relatively empty during the week but seems to fill up on weekends with locals. Bathrooms were clean only after the weekend crowds left. Great hikes accessible from campground but getting into the Joshua Tree park requires a drive and is well worth it.

Bathrooms near site 50 were wicked clean, such a plus in my book. We tent camped and the site was easy to access after hours as we arrived late. Park ranger in the morning was friendly and offered a map. People appeared to respect quiet hours.

This was my first time to Joshua Tree camping. The campground was excellent and everything was clean. This made a great experience for me.

Great campground about 20 minutes from the entry point to the park! It was a big campground with great star gazing and access to hiking trails around the campground. However, I will note that it wasn't super easy to find our site. We arrived in the dark and there was little to no signage directing how sites were organized/located. Would definitely stay here again on another trip to Joshua Tree!
