Not as picturesque as jumbo rocks or Indian Cove, but still beautiful and great hiking trail right from the campground. Pump out and water available at no additional charge. No issues with Verizon cell coverage here

Great camp spot right outside Joshua Tree National Park for small RVs, trailers and tents. We had a great site with lots of trails to choose from to hike around. Nice fire pits but they dont sell any wood there so remember to bring your own wood. Read the campsite description before choosing a site as some were very un-level and unsuitable for RVs or trailers. Also, roads were a bit rough in some loops so drive carefully. We have a small rig and it worked well for us.

Signage is non-existent. We were just lucky to guess at the right loop that had the spot we reserved. Without that right guess we would have had to drive thorough each loop.

Solid site! There's a little space between the site and the nearest neighbors with nice trails along the side. Restrooms are not to far, and well kept. The site is not the most flat, but I've slept on worse! I ended up pitching the tent between the bushes and slept like a baby. Would consider this site again!

Campground facilities were excellent: bathrooms were clean and stocked with TP, campsite had nice fire pit & separate grill, gravel had been added to a deep trench in the dirt road to help with driving. Surrounding trails were beautiful, well-maintained, and not crowded. This side of the part is much less crowded than other areas. Our only suggestion would better signage, such as a more clearly marked exit route. Would love to stay here again! Thank you, NPS workers!

Roads in the campground are narrow and need some work. Otherwise, quiet, clean and beautiful.

So quiet! Very relaxing. Perfect for looking at the stars. Staff in Nature Center and Site host were very helpful. Site 29 was a bit sloped but still found a good spot to pitch tent. Good cell reception. Restrooms were clean and working. Access to water if needed. Just a five minute drive to stores for last minute supplies. Came across a rattlesnake while hiking but it wasnt interested in us and kept moving. Had a pack of coyotes trot through site around dinner time but they werent interested in us either. Definitely planning on returning to perfect October weather in 2025.

This was a good site for privacy, apart from a few people walking through it thinking it was part of a hiking trail. Deep ruts gave us some issues parking and re-hitching our 17 travel trailer, but our rig and TV are well equipped for that. The roads in the campground are terrible. Calling them roads is a stretch. The bathrooms in the campground are terrible. BYOTP for sure. Despite proximity to town, cell service wasnt super strong, but I used Starlink for necessary work stuff.

This was our first time in Joshua Tree and it didn't disappoint. The campground was great with each spot nicely spaced out, so the privacy was good. There was nothing between our RV and the wilderness and the birds and chipmunks that scour the camp looking for food. The trails were good, well marked and not too difficult or too long. We're definitely going back and will stay in a different campground as they all seem to offer different environments. This was early December and it was cold at night, cool early in the AM and warm in the afternoon. Sunrise was amazing. Just do it.

Overall, I really liked this campground. The staff were friendly and helpful and the proximity to hiking was excellent. The road through the campsite is very broken up. The washrooms were clean and the campground was well taken care of.

We had a lovely evening and enjoyed the sunrise at our campsite. Be sure to bring levelers for your RV as the site may not be flat. Bathrooms were clean, checkin was easy and the campground was quiet. I would come again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this site. Id say its one of the prettiest in the campground. The bathrooms were clean, water wasnt far from the site either. The site wasnt totally flat so our tent was at a slight angle but that was fine. We would definitely come back!

The roads inside the campground badly need to be repaired. I asked for a site suitable for an RV and nowhere on the site was it level, which is important for an RV.

First time visiting the site and it was great! Restrooms were in good shape and conveniently close to most if not all sites. Large spacious camp site located just off the highway and not too far from the park entrance. Will definitely return!
